Alicia Lentz dies at Denver Hospital

Alicia Lentz, a 2009 graduate of Berthoud High School and a student at the University of Northern Colorado, died Wednesday at the Swedish Medical Center in Denver, a hospital spokeswoman said Friday.
Lentz was a junior studying ecology and evolutionary biology.
The UNC Mirror reported that Lentz died of a brain aneurysm. She played mellophone in the Pride of the Rockies marching band. The band is tentatively planning to wear red carnations and play “Amazing Grace” during the homecoming football game Sept. 24, the Mirror reported.
