Red Rock Academy Forum

Thomson School District is holding a community forum regarding the charter school application for Red Rock Academy in Berthoud. The meeting is scheduled for Oct. 13 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Berthoud High School. The public will have an opportunity to provide input regarding the application. One group has already voiced an opinon. Premier Gymnastics in the 2011 Fall Festival

Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies in Loveland competed in the 2011 Fall Festival at Gymnastics Unlimited in Northglenn on September 24and 25. The Level 4 team placed first, the Level 5 and Level 6 teams placed second. In the All-Around Competition: Level 4: In the Child Division Mackenzie Nedom placed fourth.         Last week President Obama signed an executive order allowing states to "opt out" of the reading and math requirements of No Child Left Behind. After all, who needs to know math when everyone has their own calculator. And kids don't need to read when they've got video games.
