Most speakers at forum oppose Red Rock Academy

BERTHOUD — At the bidding of Berthoud resident Christine Torres, the majority of the 300 people attending a charter school community forum Thursday night held up paper signs stating “NO!” in block letters.They yelled, clapped and cheered when Torres gave up 30 seconds of her two minutes to ask them to say “no.”Torres, who has three children attending Berthoud schools, was among the nearly 40 speakers who spoke either for or against the proposed Red Rock Academy in Berthoud.
