Students and youth with special needs from Loveland, Berthoud and Fort Collins would like to say a huge, "Thank you" to all of the individuals and businesses who donated to this years Adapted Recreation Activities program. A portion of the money was used to give thirty-seven kids full scholarships to ski at the National sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park. Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident activity for May 2012 Tuesday, May 1 BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 287 and County Road 8. This was a single car accident with no damages or injuries. BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Willow Drive. The patient was transported. ALAMOSA—Alamosa resident Ethel Lukow, 86, loving mother and grandmother, was born November 26, 1925 to Harm and Amelia Johnson, Jr. in Ayr, Nebraska. She married Oris Lukow on November 17, 1946.
