Berthoud Library participates in Common Read

[1]Northern Colorado Common Read (NCCR, October 1 – November 12, 2012. The NCCR is community-wide reading initiative designed to bring people of all ages and from various libraries together to read, discuss and celebrate a single book. This year’s selected book is Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. Unbroken tells the remarkable true life story of Louis Zamperini, a U.S. Olympic athlete and WWII B-24 bombardier.
This program is a collaborative effort of library systems all across the Front Range and Northern Colorado. Participating Libraries include Aims Community College, Berthoud Community Library District, Boulder Public Library, Clearview Library District (Windsor), High Plains Library District, Sterling Public Library, Westminster Public Library.

BOOKS FOR SOLDIERS

Drop off paperback books, DVDs, magazines, and the library will send items to Books for Soldiers to fill requests from soldiers. Contact the library for a list of requested items.

FRIENDS OF THE BERTHOUD COMMUNITY LIBRARY DISTRICT BOOK SALE
The Friends group will sell used WWII and other military books. Common Read events are made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Library.
