November events

November 2 – Family Story Time, 10:30 a.m., library. We will interact with fun books, songs, and fingerplays.  * Note we will take a week long break from story time and begin anew on 11-13.

November 3 1-2 pm Colorado service dogs.  Learn how this organization trains dogs to assist veterans, and meet some of the canine heroes who help military heroes.

November 8 5:30-7:30 pm Berthoud veterans dinner & exhibits @ Berthoud Community Center.  This special evening of patriotic comradeship and appreciation of service and sacrifice is being hosted by the Berthoud American Legion.  Preregister by emailing berthoudlegion@hotmail.com .  Donations appreciated.

November 12 – Book to film club.  We are featuring the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien!  Each Monday afternoon at 4 pm we will meet, eat, talk and create in anticipation of Peter Jackson’s Part one of this story to be released December 14, 2012.  In celebration, this book club will attend a showing and compare the book to the movie!

November 13- Busy B’s Story Time, 10:30 a.m. This lap-sit storytime is designed for caregivers to interact with babies and toddlers; with songs, finger plays, stories and bounces we will open the gateway to reading.

November 14- Sweet P’s Story Time, 10:30 a.m. Sweet P’s story time is designed for preschool children. Come interact with songs, finger plays, stories and activities we will build pre-reading skills and have fun doing it.

November 16 –Family Story Time, 10:30 a.m., library. We will interact with fun books, songs, and fingerplays.

November 17—  Lego club!  Join us every third Saturday of the month for an hour of building with Lego 11am-12pm in the Berthoud Community Library meeting room.

November 19 – Book to film club.  We are featuring the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien!  Each Monday afternoon at 4 pm we will meet, eat, talk and create in anticipation of Peter Jackson’s Part one of this story to be released December 14, 2012.  In celebration, this book club will attend a showing and compare the book to the movie!
