She was transported to McKee by ambulance.  Injured Dog: 200 block of Second Street, Two children reported a blue heeler dog followed them home from school. November 9, 1921 – September 1, 2014 Lyle Dean Ellis quietly passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 at the age of 92 at home surrounded by family. Lyle was born in Norton County, Kansas on November 9, 1921 to Mary Velma Higgins and John Elmer Ellis. He lived in Norton with his parents and his brother Chester “Chet” and his sister Lucille. 2014 Annual Veterans Stand Down The Annual Veterans Stand Down will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014, at The Mission, 460 Linden Center Drive, Ft Collins. The Stand Down will be held from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The Stand Down is for all homeless veterans in the area. The Mission will be serving a hot meal at noon.     Harold Roland Eckhardt, 87, of Berthoud passed away on September 22, 2014 at the Medical Center of the Rockies. He was born February 16, 1927 in Greeley, Colorado to Pauline Eckhardt and Henry Meyer. He married Earlene Faye Nicks on June 11, 1950 in Johnstown, Colorado.
