Charles Thomas Lippincott, Jr., known as Tom, passed away June 17, 2016 at his home in Berthoud. He was 58 years old. He was born July 4, 1957 in Longmont to Charles T. and Shirley A. (Westover) Lippincott. He grew up in the Niwot area and graduated from Niwot High School in 1975. On September 11, 1993 he married Karla Slechta. They have made their home in Berthoud for many years. Larimer County Sheriff's Office: Press release (June 12) On June 12, 2016, the Larimer County Coroner’s Office released a statement identifying the deceased female found in Mesa County as 18-year-old Ashley Marie Doolittle of Berthoud, Colorado. The coroner’s office determined the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was homicide. LCSO and the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate this case.
