Join the Foothills Audubon Club for an entertaining evening, The January 10 program is “The Northern Harrier – A Life On The Wing.” The graceful flying Northern Harrier is the featured subject in the film for the first program of the new year. Previously known as the “marsh hawk”, the film shows a pair of harriers, the male, a striking grey-blue, and the female wearing practical brown plumage, in their aerial acrobatics as they establish territory, defend a nest site, hunt for prey, brood and fledge their young – all in the marsh habitat for which they earned their name.
