Wednesday, June 1

BFPD responded to a citizen assist for a CO detector alarm at 3200 Cottonwood Lane. The crew replaced the batteries and checked the house for any CO levels. The house was clear..

Thursday, June 2

BFPD responded to a medical call at 2830 Center Ridge Drive. The crew evaluated the patient and the individual was handed over to Thompson Valley EMS for care.

BFPD responded to 855 Franklin (non-emergent) to assist in lifting a patient who needed to go to the hospital.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 MM 253. All parties were out of their vehicles and were uninjured. The crew checked the area for any hazards and turned the accident over to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP).

Friday, June 3

BFPD responded to a medical call at 316 East Colorado Avenue. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call on I-25 MM 251. Nothing was found.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 MM 252. This area was mutual aid with Loveland Fire who arrived on scene and cancelled Berthoud Fire as there were no patients.

Saturday, June 4

BFPD responded to a medical call at 905 Spartan Avenue. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 227 Second Street. Crews assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 443 Mountain Avenue. Crews assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

Sunday, June 5

BFPD assisted Berthoud Police with a patient at 919 Mountain Avenue. Patient care was taken over by Thompson Valley EMS

BFPD responded to a smoke investigation at 4333 West County Road 4.  A very minor but unauthorized burn was in progress. The crew went through the burn permit steps with the individuals before leaving.

BFPD responded to a grass fire at E County Road 6C and S County Road 15. A 3’ by 50’ stretch was burning alongside the road. The crew extinguished the fire.

BFPD responded to a smoke investigation at 645 Mountain Avenue. The crew found two different parties using their outdoor barbeque grills and it had created a large amount of smoke.

BFPD responded to an unauthorized burn at 400 E County Road 8. The party was notified that a burn permit was needed before any open burning.

Monday, June 6

 

BFPD responded to a medical call at 840 Douglas Place. The crew assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 307 Hubble Street. The crew provided oxygen for the individual and assisted Thompson Valley EMS. The patient was transported to the hospital.

Tuesday, June 7

BFPD responded to a possible grass fire on I-25 MM 252. Neither Loveland Fire nor Berthoud Fire was able to find a fire in the reported area.

BFPD responded to a structure fire at 255 SW 42nd Avenue. BFPD assisted Loveland Fire with extinguishing a fire in an overhead garage door.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 1290 Millcreek Road. BFPD assisted Thompson Valley EMS.

Wednesday, June 8

BFPD responded to a possible medical emergency at 5225 Wild Wing Drive. However,  a medical alert system had been set off accidentally.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 MM 252. Berthoud Fire assisted Loveland Fire with stabilizing the semi trailer found on its side.  The scene was checked for patients, but none were found.

Thursday, June 9

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Crestridge Drive and South County Road 17. No one was hurt, but the driver wanted to remain inside the vehicle as they were afraid it would overturn. The vehicle was pulled back onto the road and stabilized.

Friday, June 10

BFPD responded to a possible inside gas leak at 653 Sunbird Lane. The crew checked the air levels inside the home and found that readings were normal. The resident was advised to contact an appliance professional.

BFPD responded to a grass fire on I-25 MM 252. Berthoud Fire assisted Loveland Fire in extinguishing the 10 x 50  foot grass fire.

BFPD responded to a residential fire alarm at 3105 Megan Way. The crew assisted the resident with replacing the batteries in their detector.

Sunday, June 12

BFPD responded to a medical call at 3209 Huppe Lane. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to a motorcycle accident at South County Road 23 and Deer Run Drive. Berthoud Fire began patient care and then assisted Thompson Valley EMS. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, June 14

BFPD responded to a medical call at 205 Sioux Drive but was released by Thompson Valley EMS shortly after arrival.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 1402 Willow Drive. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with loading the patient into the ambulance.

BFPD responded to a Motorcycle accident on I-25 MM 249. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with loading the patient into the ambulance. The crew removed liquid hazards from the scene of the accident.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 934 Sixth Street. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with loading the patient into the ambulance.

BFPD responded to a medical at 20975 Weld County Road 3. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with loading the patient into the ambulance.

Wednesday, June 15

BFPD responded to a possible grass fire on South Ninth Street and Kansas Avenue. The crew found a Berthoud Police Officer talking with three juveniles. The crew was able to leave the scene with the police officers attending to the juveniles using fireworks.

BFPD responded to a smoke/odor investigation at 529 Redwood Circle. There was no trash burning in the area and it smelled like a campfire but nothing was found in the immediate area.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 between MM 249 and 250. Berthoud Fire worked with Loveland Fire to remove the occupants from their vehicles and provide patient care. Berthoud Fire then assisted Thompson Valley EMS with loading the patients into the ambulance..

Thursday, June 16

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident at First Street and Tavner Court. The crew found two cars rolled on their tops. Both drivers were out of the vehicles. BFPD began patient care and then assisted Thompson Valley EMS with loading a patient into the ambulance.

BFPD responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on I-25 MM 252. Neither Loveland nor Berthoud Fire was able to locate any accidents in the area.

BFPD had an individual walk into the station with an injury sustained while skateboarding. Berthoud Fire bandaged the affected area and Thompson Valley EMS transported the patient.

BFPD responded to a gas odor from inside a residence at 23551 Weld County Road 5. Berthoud Fire checked the inside of the house for propane readings and checked the propane tank.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident at 10429 Yellowstone Road. A vehicle was found halfway in the water. Berthoud Fire assisted the driver with exiting the vehicle and checked for injuries. The driver was turned over to Thompson Valley EMS.

BFPD responded to a medical call at 8262 Deer Run Drive. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

Friday, June 17

BFPD responded to a medical call at 904 East County Road 4. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a residential fire alarm at 313 East Iowa Avenue. The resident said that the smoke detectors kept going off. The crew replaced the batteries in the detector.

BFPD responded to a dive rescue call at 3900 S County Road 31. An overturned sail boat was found but all the parties had gotten out of the water with the help of the park’s boat patrol. Berthoud Fire and Loveland Fire crews remained on scene to get the overturned boat back to the dock.

Saturday, June 18

BFPD responded to a medical call at 855 Franklin Avenue. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with medical care and the patient was transported

Sunday, June 19

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-25and E HWY 56. All the parties were out of their vehicles and Thompson Valley EMS was providing patient care.

Monday, June 20

BFPD responded to a medical at 835 Seventh Street. Berthoud Fire assisted Thompson Valley EMS with patient care and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on North HWY 287 and N County Road 17. Both vehicles had heavy damage but both drivers were out of their vehicles. Thompson Valley EMS handled patient care while Berthoud Fire controlled traffic and removed hazards from the scene.

Wednesday, June 29

BFPD responded to a structure fire at the City Apartments on Massachusetts Ave.  Loveland  and Longmont Fire were called for assistance.  The fire was quickly contained.  Damage was contained to the kitchen area of one apartment,

BFPD responded to smoke and odors in the area of North CR 31 caused from fires in the area.  After investigation there were numerous managed fires found in the surrounding area causing the heavy smoke odors.

BFPD responded to a report of a power line down in the area of 287 and Highway 56.  A tent from a firework’s stand had blown into a power and light pole, the tent was removed by the crew.

BFPD crew responded to a medical call in the area of County Road 4 and County Road 23E.  A male was found lying in a ditch following a bicycle accident.  He was uninjured.

Thursday, June 30

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for chest pain at the Berthoud Living Center.  The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motorcycle accident on N. County Road 31 near the Carter Lake Dam.  The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care and transporting the patient.

BFPD responded to a grass fire on Meining Road.  A 3 X 3 foot smoldering fire was found near structures.  The fire was extinguished.
