Wednesday, March 2

BFPD responded to WCR 7 for a medical emergency. The responding crew found a male with a nose bleed. TVEMS arrived and assumed patient care.

Thursday, March 3

BFPD responded to I-25 mm 250 SB for a four-car motor vehicle accident. There was minor to moderate damage, with all parties out of their vehicles. TVEMS checked out all parties involved, and no one needed to be transported. Colorado State Patrol had all vehicles move to Hwy 56, so they could clear the interstate.

Saturday, March 5,

BFPD responded to the 100 block of 50th Street for a medical call. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to Larimer Cty Rd 23E for an individual with a traumatic injury. A male, conscious and alert, was laying in the front yard. He had a large laceration on his shin. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.

Sunday, March 6,

BFPD responded to Redtail Hawk Lane for a grass fire. The crew found a slow moving grass fire that was fully contained by Loveland Fire Engine 1. BFPD helped with mop up.

BFPD responded to 300 block of Columbine Circle for a sick person and assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Monday, March 7

BFPD responded to the 700 block of Douglas Place for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care.

BFPD responded to the 3000 block of Meining Road for a male not breathing. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care. The patient was then loaded and transported.

Tuesday, March 8

BFPD responded to Larimer County Road 4 for a medical call. The crew found a person complaining of abdominal pain. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.

BFPD responded a police request for a medical problem in the 1000 block of 4th Street. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to the 100 block of Sioux Drive for a male who had fallen out of bed and cut his shin. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.

BFPD responded to West County Road 4 for a grass fire. The fire was knocked down and controlled, then crews began to mop up and secure a good perimeter around the fire. The Fire Investigator believed the fire was caused by a malfunction of a lawn tractor. Engine 16 finished the mop up.

BFPD responded to the 800 block of Bunyan Avenue for a female having abdominal pains. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Wednesday, March 9

BFPD responded to the 1000 block of 6th Street for an 84-year-old male with breathing problems. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.

BFPD was in the process of doing a car seat check, when the driver began to feel sick. The female stated she was 36 weeks pregnant with twins. The woman decided to drive herself to the hospital.

Friday, March 11

BFPD responded to I-25 MM 250 NB for a 2-car motor vehicle accident. There was moderate damage to both cars with no injuries. BFPD cleared all hazards and fluid then turned scene over to Larimer County Sheriff’s Department.

Saturday, March 12

BFPD responded to the 700 block of Wilshire Avenue for a medical assist. A female was on the floor of her bedroom and needed assistance getting back into her wheel chair. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to the 300 block of Welch Avenue for a medical call. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to I-25 MM 252 SB for a motor vehicle accident. There was minor damage to the vehicle but no injuries.

BFPD responded to VDR for a medical assist with TVEMS.

Sunday, March 13

BFPD responded to Franklin Avenue to assist TVEMS with a medical call.

BFPD had a female walk into Station 1 requesting assistance cutting off a ring on her finger. The female was experiencing extreme swelling in her hands. BFPD used the ring removal tool to remove the ring from her severely swollen finger. She thanked us for the assistance and went on her way.

BFPD responded to Weld Cty Road 7 for a female who had fallen off a horse. The rider was found laying on her side in extreme pain. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Monday, March 14

BFPD responded to 900 block of Franklin Avenue for a citizen assist. The crew found a male on the floor who needed an assist getting up. BFPD helped the man up and and checked him out for any injuries. All assessments were negative.

BFPD responded to Rotor Way for a female who had fallen into the ditch while getting her mail. The woman stated that she was not injured, and that she had been blown off her feet by the wind and just needed assistance getting up due to her arthritis. BFPD and Larimer County Sheriff assisted her to her feet.

BFPD responded to a grass fire near Weld County Road 36 and County Line Road. The fire crew found a 20’x50’/20’ pile of debris burning. BFPD utilized the Water Tender truck to extinguish the fire. Approximately 7500 gallons of water was used to extinguish all hot spots.

BFPD responded to I-25 mm 251 NB for a small grass fire. A small 20’x20’ grass fire was burning on the frontage road of I-25. The crew got the fire under control, and mop up was completed.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to Larimer County Road 4 for a medical assist for a sick person.

BFPD responded to the 900 block of Welch Avenue for a sick person. The fire crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Tuesday, March 15

BFPD responded to the 800 block of Franklin Avenue for a person having hip pain. BFPD assisted TVEMS with the loading of the patient into the ambulance.

Wednesday, March 16

BFPD responded to Chokeberry Street for a female having abdominal pain. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.

Thursday, March 17,

BFPD responded to Franklin Avenue for a medical call. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to the 300 block of Nebraska Avenue for an assist with a smoke detector. BFPD replaced all of the batteries in the smoke detectors and resolved the issue of the sounding alarms.

Friday, March 18

BFPD responded to I-25 mm 249 SB for a motor vehicle accident. A van had hit a couch in the road. There were no injuries, BFPD removed the couch from the road.

Saturday, March 19

BFPD responded to the 800 block of Franklin Avenue for a medical call. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.

BFPD responded to I-25 mm 250 NB for a motor vehicle accident. This was a single vehicle rollover, with moderate damage and all parties were out of the vehicle with no injuries. Colorado State Patrol was on scene.

BFPD responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a 72-year-old male with head pain due to a fall. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Sunday, March 20

BFPD responded to I-25 mm 250 NB for a motor vehicle accident. Three cars were involved in the accident, all with light damage. All parties were out of the vehicles with no injuries.

BFPD responded to I-25 mm 250 NB for a 2-car motor vehicle accident. Both cars had sustained light damage, with no injuries to the occupants. The call then was turned over to Colorado State Patrol.

BFPD responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a sick person. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to the 900 block of 3rd Street for an 80-year-old female who had fallen out of bed. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.

Monday, March 21

BFPD responded to the 800 block of Spartan Avenue for a medical call. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.

BFPD responded to the 900 block of 5th Street for a citizen assist. The homeowner needed help in changing smoke detector batteries.

Tuesday, March 22

BFPD responded to the 800 block of Franklin Avenue for a 56-year-old unconscious male. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Wednesday, March 23

BFPD responded to multiple calls for power lines down due to winter snow storm in our area.

BFPD responded to the 1000 block of Gateway Park Drive for a citizen assist.  A gentleman unable to open his garage door because of the power outage. The pull cord to release the door was broken, so BFPD personnel pulled the pin and opened the door for the gentleman.

BFPD responded to the 600 block of 4th Street, for a woman who needed assistance getting back into bed.

BFPD responded to Highway 287 for a motor vehicle accident. The crew found a female driver of a white SUV, complaining of head and neck pain. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Thursday, March 24

BFPD responded to the 200 block of Sioux Drive for a citizen assist. Berthoud Fire personnel replaced batteries in chirping smoke detector, and then replaced the rest of the batteries in the home.

Friday, March 25

BFPD responded to Larimer Cty Rd 27E for a medical call. An elderly man had hip pain from falling. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a structure fire. There was heavy fire from the side of trailer. BFPD went into full attack mode, with mutual aid from Loveland Fire. Woman Critically injured-Loveland Reporter Herald [1]

BFPD responded to the 800 block of Franklin Avenue for a medical assist. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Saturday, March 26

BFPD responded to the 700 block of Welch Avenue for a 75-year-old woman having blood sugar issues. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Sunday, March 27

BFPD responded to Shelby Drive for a sick person and assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to the 1000 block of 7th Street for a medical call. The crew found a man who had just had a seizure. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.

Monday, March 28

BFPD responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a medical call. TVEMS arrived and assumed patient care.

Tuesday, March 29

BFPD responded to the 200 block of Bunyan Avenue for a medical call. Assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to Larimer County Road 17 to a medical call for a sick person. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.

Wednesday, March 30

BFPD responded to Home State Bank on 4th Street for an inside odor investigation. An electric heater had arced and tripped the circuit breaker. BFPD took care of the problem and removed the fan and heater.

BFPD responded to 8th Street for a single motor vehicle accident with no injuries. The crew found a single car with moderate damage and all parties out of vehicle. A female was cleared by TVEMS and scene was turned over to Larimer County Sheriff Department.

Thursday, March 31

BFPD arrived on scene of a 3 car motor vehicle accident on I-25 mm 248. All parties were out of the vehicles with no injuries. Command canceled TVEMS and Engine 1 was assigned to clear debris from road.

BFPD responded to the 8000 block of Smith Road for a carbon monoxide incident. The homeowner claimed to be burning pellets in his stove the night before for heat. When the CO detectors kept going off, he put the fire out in pellet stove and opened the windows. The homeowner was advised by BFPD to have his pellet stove checked out by a fireplace professional before using it again to insure it was venting properly. The owner was also advised of the signs and symptoms of CO poisoning, and to call 911 immediately if the incident should happen again.

BFPD responded to Sioux Drive for a male having breathing problems. The crew found the man in the back bedroom having difficulty breathing. TVEMS arrived and assumed patient care.

BFPD responded to Getaway Drive for a motor vehicle accident involving a large truck in a T-bone type accident with a small sedan. BFPD used the hydraulic tools to extricate the truck occupant. TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.
