Monday, December 1

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on 5th Street for an allergic reaction. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on South County Road 15 for a person who had fainted. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on 5th Street for hemorrhaging. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, December 2

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 1st Street and Highway 287. A single vehicle was found off the road. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for seizures on West County Road 8.

Thursday, December 4

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for breathing difficulties on 4th Street.

The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a person who had fallen and needed assistance on Getaway Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call at the Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of smoke in the 8600 block of Yellowstone. The fire crew found a controlled burn in the area.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a call for choking on Malibu Drive. Upon arrival to the scene, the patient was no longer choking.

Friday, December 5

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for an allergic reaction on 10th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Big Oak Court. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 249. This was a two-car accident with one heavily damaged car pinned under the cables in the median. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Glenview Drive.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on 2nd St.

Saturday, December 6

BFPD responded to a fire alarm on Harmony Court. The homeowner had burnt some food causing the fire alarm.

BFPD responded to a report of a structure fire on Highway 56. This was found to be a legal bonfire.

BFPD responded to a reported single vehicle rollover accident on Highway 60 near County Road 7. A vehicle was found on its roof with a single occupant inside the vehicle. The patient was extricated from the vehicle and then transported.

Sunday, December 7

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for breathing problems on N. County Road 15C. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, December 9

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for seizures on 7th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a reported grass fire in the area of Weld County Road 5 and Highway 56. Following a search of the area no fire was found.

Wednesday, December 10

BFPD responded to a citizen needing assistance with smoke detectors on Gateway Park Lane. The crew searched for signs of carbon monoxide or smoke and nothing was found. The crew replaced batteries and reset the system.

Thursday, December 11

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Dakota Ridge. The patient was deceased upon arrival.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a fall victim on 2nd St. The patient had fallen out of a truck and sustained multiple injuries. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on 2nd St. for a patient having neck and back pain. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a dumpster fire near a structure on Clayton Place. The crew found a large roll off dumpster with an active fire burning. The crew extinguished the fire. An investigator determined the fire to be caused by fireplace ashes that were previously put in the dumpster.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on LCR 8. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on LCR 21 for a person who was bitten by a dog. The patient was transported.

Friday, December 12

BFPD responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 253. The crew was unable to locate an accident.

Saturday, December 13

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Glenview Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. This was a three-vehicle accident with light damage to the vehicles. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at the Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

Sunday, December 14

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for chest pains at the Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a homeowner reporting a malfunctioning detector. The unit was in a vaulted ceiling and the crew assisted with removing the unit.

BFPD responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Weld County Road 7 and 48. A single vehicle was found in a nearby field on its side. One patient was transported.

Monday, December 15

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate25 at mile marker 251. A single vehicle had rolled and was on it top with one person inside the vehicle. The crew assisted with removing the occupant from the vehicle. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident in Loveland to assist with extrication. The crew extricated the trapped occupant and assisted TVEMS with medical care. The individual was transported.

Tuesday, December 16

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Second Street for a person breathing problems. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on LCR 23E and LCR 4. This was a T-bone type collision with light damage to the vehicles. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a medical call for breathing problems on Second Street. The patient was transported.

Wednesday, December 17

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The resident was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. This was a two-vehicle accident with mild damage to the vehicles. There were no injuries reported. The crew assisted with traffic control.

BFPD responded to a bonfire investigation on Yellowstone Road. The fire crew found a smoldering fire in a barrel and informed the residents about obtaining a burn permit in the future.

Thursday, December 18

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm on Bunyan Avenue. This was a faulty alarm and the crew reset the alarm. It was recommended to the owner to have the system checked for malfunctions.

BFPD responded to a medical call for a fall with injury on E. Highway 56. The person was transported.

BFPD responded to a reported outside odor investigation near 2800 E. Highway 56. The crew was unable to locate a source of odor.

Friday, December 19

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm on Bunyan Avenue. This was a false alarm.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm on First St. There were no signs of smoke or fire upon arrival. It was determined to be a malfunctioning system.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Greenwood Drive. The fire crew assisted with medical care and in transporting the patient.

BFPD responded to a reported car fire on Interstate 25. This was a two-vehicle accident. There was not a fire, only steam from a ruptured radiator. No injuries were reported.

Saturday, December 20

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. This was a single-vehicle accident and one person was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 287 and CR 8. There were no injuries and no hazards.

BFPD responded to a possible grass fire near Valley Dirt Rider at the Interstate 25 frontage road. Employees of the tract were burning weeds around the pond. The fire had been extinguished by the time the fire crew arrived. The responsible party was advised of obtaining a burn permit in the future.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 249. This was a five-vehicle accident with minor damage to the vehicles. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at Highway 56 on the frontage road.

Sunday, December 21

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person who had fallen on Colorado Avenue. The crew assisted with the patient.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with the transfer of a resident needing transport from the Berthoud Living Center.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a person with seizures on N. CR 23. The patient was transported.

Monday, December 22

BFPD responded to a medical call in the 600 block of Sixth St. TVEMS transported the patient.

BFPD responded to a medical call in the 100 block of Third St.

Tuesday, December 23

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Second Street for breathing problems.

BFPD, Johnstown and Loveland Fire responded to a report of a structure fire near a farm at the intersection of Highway 60 and County Road 7. BFPD arrived at the address and found no indications of smoke or fire. Following further investigation, it was determined there was no emergency in the area and the “smoke” was dust as a result of grinding operations from a nearby farm.

BFPD responded to a third party report of smoke alarms sounding at a home in the 800 block of Greenwood Dr. No signs of smoke were visible from the exterior of the home. Upon entry to the residence it was determined to be a faulty smoke detector.

Wednesday, December 24

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call in the 900 Block of East County Road 4. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call in the 100 block of Sioux Dr. The resident had fallen in the garage and was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call in the 1600 block of Oak Dr. for a fall. BFPD began patient care. When TVEMS arrived patient care was handed over and the patient was transported.

BFPD was dispatched to a multi-family residential structure fire on Weld County Road 7. This turned out to be in the same area as a previous call resulting in dust from grinding operations at a nearby farm.

BFPD was dispatched to a medical call in the 800 block of Humboldt Peak Lane. Patient was transported.

Thursday, December 25

BFPD responded to a single vehicle accident at 750 Hwy. 56, a minivan had slid off the south side of the road. No injuries or hazards were found.

BFPD responded to a single vehicle accident on Weld County Road 1. The vehicle, a SUV, was on its side in the irrigation ditch. The occupant was uninjured. BFPD remained onscene until the vehicle was removed from the ditch.

BFPD was dispatched to a medical call at MM 252 on I-25. While en-route a call for a structure fire was received. BFPD conferred with TVEMS and after ensuring they had the medical call, the fire crew responded to the structure fire.

BFPD responded to a reported structure fire in the 2300 block of N. Horseshoe Cir. The only visible signs of smoke and embers were from the chimney. Upon confirming all residents were out of the home and no smoke or visible signs of fire were inside the house, the fire inside the fireplace was extinguished. The crew opened the flue and continued to cool the chimney with water. After confirming with the thermal imaging camera there were no signs of extension of the fire anywhere other than the chimney and flue area and ensuring the fire in the fireplace was completely out the property was turned back over the owner/occupant.

BFPD was dispatched to a vehicle accident at First Street and Hwy 287. No accident was found.

BFPD responded to a report of vehicle accident at First Street and County Road 10. TVEMS cleared the occupant of injuries and the fire crew turned the scene over to LCSO.

Friday, December 26

BFPD responded to a Police Department request for a medical at MM 250 I-25. The crew found that the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and Johnstown Fire were already on on the scene.

BFPD was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 500 block of E. County Road 8. The fire was confined to the oven, though smoke was visible. The resident had failed to remove an iron skillet from the oven before starting the self-clean cycle. The oven door was locked and could not be opened until it had cooled properly. The oven unit was removed from the structure and set outside to cool. Once the oven unit was cooled sufficiently to unlock the door the interior of the unit was cooled with a pressurized water extinguisher. BFPD checked to make sure there was no other extension of the oven fire in the residence.

BFPD assisted a citizen in the 900 block of Welch Ave in replacing batteries in their smoke alarms and CO detector.

Saturday, December 27

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Hwy 287 and was cancelled en-route.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle I-25 and MM 253. BFPD was cancelled en-route.

BFPD responded to a single vehicle rollover in the irrigation ditch North of County Road 8. Two occupants were out of the vehicle and standing on the side of the road. Occupants were checked for injuries and were found to be okay. They were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. BFPD remained on scene until CSP arrived.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Road 23. Cancelled en-route.

Sunday, December 28

BFPD and TVEMS were dispatched to a vehicle accident at I-25, MM 250. CSP was with a single person whose car had rolled off the interstate onto the Frontage Road. Patient had a bloody nose and no other reported injuries. Patient refused to be transported.

Monday, December 30

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252, involving two vehicles. There was minor damage to the vehicles and no injuries were reported.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Horseshoe Circle. The fire crew assisted TVEMS with medical attention. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, December 31

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on North County Road 17 for a patient experiencing hip and leg pain. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the eastbound lane of Highway 56, involving two cars. There was moderate to heavy damage to the vehicles. One person was injured with a possible broken leg. The crew assisted with transporting the patient and providing traffic control.
