Saturday, February 1

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. A single vehicle had slid off the road. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a five-vehicle accident on Interstate 25. One minor injury was reported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Weld County Road 46.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Fifth Street.

Monday, February 3

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 @ mile marker 248. A single vehicle was found in the median cables with minor damage to the vehicle. There were no reported injuries.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on West County Road 10. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Cheyenne Drive. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, February 4

BFPD responded to a reported residential structure fire on Taras Court. The fire crew found a controlled burn behind a residence.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 249. This was a single vehicle accident with no injuries reported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Meadowlark Drive.

Wednesday, February 5

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 287. A single vehicle had run off the road into a fence post. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. This was a two-vehicle accident with minor damage to the vehicles. There were no reported injuries.

Thursday, February 6

BFPD assisted a business on Welch Ave. for a report of a water line break. Town of Berthoud was also notified to shut off water flow at the street. The fire crew investigated the leak. The water pipes in the attic had frozen and burst during the night.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Tenth Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Fourth Street. The fire crew investigated and found the detector to be faulty.

Friday, February 7

BFPD responded to a medical call on Big Oak Street. The fire crew assisted with patient care until TVEMS arrived. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Fourth Street.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for leg pain on Yellowstone Road. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for chest pain on Wilfred Road. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. This was a three-car accident with minor damage to the vehicles. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Welch Ave. The patient was transported.

Saturday February 8

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for abdominal pain at the Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm on Ninth Street and Mountain Avenue. The strip mall was evacuated. There were no signs of fire. A broken sprinkler head was flowing water into the building. The system was shut down until everything was repaired and operational.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm in the same strip mall. Upon arrival there were no signs of fire or evacuation. Due to concrete sanding in the business a duct detector was activated due to the dust. The crew advised in the future to cover the vents with plastic to prevent the alarms from activating.

BFPD responded to a carbon monoxide detector activation on Jay Place. The fire crew checked for levels of CO and concluded that the detector was faulty.

Sunday, February 9

BFPD responded to a medical call for chest pain on Vaquero Street.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm on Ninth Street and Mountain Avenue. This was determined to be a false alarm triggered by a worker maintaining the HVAC unit on the roof. The crew confirmed that the alarm was unintentional and reset the alarm system.

Tuesday, February 11

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at the Hamilton Park Apartments. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Eighth Street.

BFPD responded to a reported structure fire on South Douglas Street. Upon arrival to the residence there were no signs of fire. The homeowners had been able to control the freezer fire with a fire extinguisher.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Eighth Street for a possible stroke victim. The patient was transported.

Thursday, February 13

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Fourth Street. The patient was transported.

Friday, February 14

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident at the off ramp on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. This was a semi truck and single car accident. No injuries were reported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Eithth Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Bunyan Court for a fall victim. The patient experiencing severe hip pain was transported.

Saturday, February 15

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Weld County Road 5. A male was experiencing chest pain and was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for fainting on Bunyan Ave. The patient was transported.

Sunday, February 16

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 287 and Highway 56. A single vehicle sustained moderate damage. There were no injuries reported.

Monday, February 17

BFPD responded to a call for a fall in the 700 block of Second Street. Upon arrival BFPD found a man sitting on the ground. Care was transferred to TVEMS and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a call for a fall in the 700 block of Fifth Street. The crew found a man lying down. Care was transferred to TVEMS.

BFPD responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the 1300 block of Mt. Meeker Ave. BFPD found a Honda with a fully involved engine compartment fire. The crew extinguished the fire.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to the 800 Block of Franklin Ave. for a medical call. Patient was transported.

BFPD responded to the 700 block of Mount Massive St. for an outside gas leak. The crew found a gas line cut by a backhoe. BFPD monitored the area. All ignition sources were secured and the area was blocked off. Xcel Energy also responded and after assurance the leak was slowed down, BFPD was released.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call in the 800 Block of Franklin Ave. The fire crew assisted with patient care and the patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a dumpster fire on Evergreen Ave. The crew found a fully involved dumpster fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

Tuesday, February 18

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Weld County Road 46 for an elderly male. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call at the Intersection of I-25 and Hwy. 56. Medical assistance was given by TVEMS.

BFPD assisted Loveland Fire and covered their Station 3 during an aircraft emergency and structure fire.

Wednesday, February 19

BFPD along with TVEMS responded to the 200 Block of Second Street. The Engine crew assisted TVEMS with Patient care and in transporting the patient.

Thursday, February 20

BFPD responded to medical call in the 800 Block of Franklin Ave.

Saturday, February 22

BFPD responded to a medical call in the 300 Block of Massachusetts Ave.

BFPD responded to the 1600 Block of N. County Road 19. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care. The patient was transported.

Sunday, February 23

BFPD responded with TVEMS for a fall victim.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to the 3000 Block of Bianca Ct. for Medical call. BFPD assisted with medical care and loading of the patient.

Monday, February 24

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on West County Road 4. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, February 25

BFPD responded to a medical call on Seventh Street. The crew assisted TVEMS with medical care. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a hazardous materials spill on North 83rd Street. Twelve containers of hazardous materials had been dumped in this area. The fire crew contacted the Boulder County hazmat team and also Tri-State oil for removal of the containers and products.

BFPD responded to a report of power lines down near County Road 23E and West County Road 4. The fire crew checked for hazards and then notified Poudre Valley REA to respond.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm on Mountain Avenue at the Hays Plaza. There were no signs of fire in the structure. The fire crew investigated the area for any signs of smoke or fire. It was determined that the alarm was activated by an employee who was vacuuming the air ducts.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Bothun Road. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a reported residential structure fire on Morey Court. There were no signs of fire. The report came from a neighbor who saw fire near the fireplace. The homeowner had apparently been burning paper in his fireplace.

Thursday, February 27

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a possible stroke on Gateway Park Lane. The patient was transported.

Friday, February 28

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Eighth Street for complications due to an insect bite.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Road 17. A single vehicle was found with moderate damage. The driver had fled the scene.
