Incident Report February 1- 9

Saturday, February 1

Engine 61 dispatched to the 1500 block of Woodcock Street for a gas leak. The crew found a small leak by the meter. Xcel was notified, and the crew remained on scene until Xcel replaced the fittings.

BFPD dispatched to the 17000 block of Frontier Road for a grass fire. The crew located a 6×6 controlled burn in a pasture. The property owner was watching the burn and had it under control. With no issues, the property owner was allowed to continue burning.

Engine 62 dispatched to the 4800 block of Soaring Peaks Drive for a patient with a laceration. The crew assessed the patient and obtained vitals. Patient care was transferred to TVEMS. The crew assisted the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

Sunday, February 2

Engine 61 dispatched to the 1300 block of 4th Street for a CO alarm. The crew evaluated the residence and found no elevated levels of CO. The CO detector was inspected and found to be expired. The homeowner was advised to have the CO detector replaced.

Squad 61 responded to the 800 block of Prairie Star Drive for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport.

Engine 62 dispatched to the 700 block of Riverside Court for a 71-year-old man who had fallen. The crew assessed the patient and transferred care to TVEMS. The patient refused transport.

Monday, February 3

Squad 61 responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical assist.

BFPD dispatched to the 500 block of Highway 287 for a single motor vehicle accident. The lone vehicle occupant reported no injuries. The vehicle was moved off the highway, and the scene was turned over to LCSO.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 1500 block of Highway 287 for a single vehicle rollover accident. TVEMS assessed the occupant for injuries. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital. The scene was turned over to LCSO.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 1300 block of 4th Street for a cardiac arrest. TVEMS evaluated the patient, and the scene was turned over to LCSO.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 500 block of 42nd Street SW for an unconscious patient. The crew found the patient conscious, breathing and alert. TVEMS assumed patient care. The patient refused transport.

Tuesday, February 4

Squad 61 responded to the 3800 block of E. Highway 56 for a person that had fallen. The patient was complaining of pain in his leg. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Citizen assist to the 100 block of E. Iowa to assist with smoke detector replacement.

Wednesday, February 5

Engine 61 dispatched to the 1500 block of Hollyberry Street for a residential fire alarm. There were no visual signs of smoke or fire. The crew entered the home to investigate and found a faulty smoke detector. The homeowner was advised on the proper replacement of the smoke detector.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a medical assist. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient assessment and loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Squad 61 responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical assist.

Citizen assist at Station 1 for a car seat installation.

Thursday, February 6

Squad 61 dispatched to the 8600 block of Weld County Road 3 for a medical alert activation. This  was determined to be an accidental activation.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 1200 block of Cedar Drive for a sick person. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient assessment and loading for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 62 dispatched to the 3800 block of Fawn Trail for breathing problems. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Friday, February 7

BFPD dispatched to the 700 block of Gateway Park Lane for a smoke detector activation. The crew entered the home with the monitoring equipment and found no elevated readings of gas or carbon monoxide. A carbon monoxide detector was found to be chirping, and the batteries were replaced.

Squad 61 responded to the 14000 block of Highway 287 for a patient with chest pains. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 1700 block of Highway 287 for a two-vehicle accident with light damage. The crew assessed the patients for injuries, and none were reported. The scene was turned over to LCSO.

BFPD dispatched to the 800 block of Mountain Avenue for an indoor gas odor. After investigation, the crew found no elevated levels of gas. The representing party was notified of the findings.

Saturday, February 8

Citizen assist at Station 2 for a car seat installation.

Squad 61 responded to the intersection of 8th Street and Welch Avenue for a person who had fallen. The crew began patient assessment and transferred patient care to TVEMS upon their arrival. The patient was loaded for transport to a local hospital.

BFPD dispatched to the 2200 block of 1st Street for a commercial fire alarm. The crew found no signs of fire. The alarm panel was reset, and the business owner was advised to call the alarm company to have the system serviced.

Citizen assist to the 900 block of 4th Street for smoke detector replacement.

BFPD dispatched to the 1300 block of 1st Street for a commercial fire alarm. In route, the crew was notified that this was false alarm. The crew continued to the address to double check the property and make sure the alarm was reset.

Engine 61 responded to the 300 block of Mountain Avenue for a medical assist. TVEMS assumed patient care.

Sunday, February 9

Squad 61 dispatched to the 600 block of Mountain Avenue for a medical. Patient care was transferred to TVEMS.

BFPD dispatched to the 600 block of 4th Street for a structure fire. [1] There were no visual signs of fire outside of the building; however, smoke filled the interior. The crews quickly worked to extinguish the fire and determine the origin. Once the investigation was complete, the building was turned back over to the owner.

Monday, February 10

Squad 61 responded to the 500 block of Redwood Circle for diabetic problems. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient assessment. Patient refused transport.

Tuesday, February 11

Squad 61 dispatched to the 3600 block of Bellaire Avenue for a possible stroke. The crew assessed the patient and transferred care to TVEMS. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Engine 62 dispatched to W. County Road 8E and Sedona Hills Drive for a two-vehicle accident with minor damage. The crew checked the occupants for injuries. One occupant reported injuries, and TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew checked for hazards and assisted with traffic control.

Engine 62 responded to the 4400 block of Hoot Owl Drive for a person who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

Squad 61 responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a person with breathing difficulties. The crew assessed the patient and administered oxygen. Patient care was transferred to TVEMS. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 1200 block of Arapahoe Avenue for a 74-year-old woman who had fallen. TVEMS assessed the patient for injuries. None were reported, and the crew assisted the patient to her feet.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 1600 block of Weld County Road 40 ½ for a medical assist. After they arrived, law enforcement determined medical assistance was not needed.

Wednesday, February 12

BFPD dispatched to the 100 block of S. 3rd Street for a law enforcement assist. LCSO was on scene of a two-vehicle accident. The crew checked the occupants for injuries. No injuries were reported. The scene was turned back over to LCSO.

BFPD dispatched to Interstate I-25 SB mm249 for a two-vehicle accident. None of the occupants reported any injuries. The crew notified CSP, who was on accident alert. The vehicle occupants exchanged insurance information and cleared the scene in their vehicles.

Engine 62 responded to the intersection of Highway 287 and White Water Court for a two-vehicle accident. The crew confirmed that there were no injuries and waited for CSP to arrive on scene.

Engine 61 dispatched to the intersection of Highway 287 and Highway 56/County Road 8 for a two-vehicle accident. Both lanes of southbound Highway 287 were blocked. The crew checked the vehicle occupants for injuries and began patient assessment. Patient care was transferred to TVEMS. The crew assisted with traffic control and cleaned up fluids. The scene was turned over to LCSO.

Engine 62 assisted law enforcement with traffic control on W. County Road 8 while a vehicle that had slid off of the road was moved back onto the roadway.

Engine 62 assisted Colorado State Patrol with traffic control on W. County Road 8 while a tow truck pulled three vehicles out of the ditch.

Thursday, February 13

BFPD dispatched to the 300 block of Victoria Street for a cardiac arrest. All doors into the home were locked. The crew forced entry into the residence and found a 68-year-old male unresponsive. The crew performed CPR. Patient assessment and care was transferred to TVEMS.

Squad 61 responded to the 600 block of 1st Street for a medical. The crew evaluated the patient. The patient refused transport.

Squad 61 dispatched to Hays Market for a 71-year-old woman who had fainted. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

BFPD dispatched to the 4600 block of N. Sunshine Court for a 62-year-old man having a possible heart attack. The patient was found conscious and breathing. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient assessment and loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Friday, February 14

Engine 61 dispatched to Interstate I-25 NB mm250 for a motor vehicle accident. The crew found a three-vehicle accident. TVEMS checked all occupants for injuries. None were reported. LCSO assisted the crew with moving one vehicle from the roadway. The crew cleared all debris from the road, and the scene was turned over to CSP.

Engine 62 dispatched to the 600 block of Sundown Court for a 74-year-old woman having a possible stroke. The crew began patient assessment and transferred patient care to TVEMS. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Saturday, February 15

BFPD assisted a patient who walked into Station 1 with a hand laceration. The crew assisted TVEMS with wound assessment and wrapping the patient’s hand. Patient refused transport.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 700 block of 3rd Street for a 55-year-old man with chest pains. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient assessment and loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

Sunday, February 16

Lift assist to the 3400 block of Fairways Drive for a 79-year-old woman who had fallen.

Engine 62 dispatched to the area of County Road 23E and Foothills Drive for an outside smoke investigation. The only smoke located was from a verified controlled burn to the west.

Engine 62 dispatched to the intersection of County Road 8E and County Road 23 for a law enforcement medical assist. LCSO reported concerns of cold exposure to a person walking. TVEMS completed a patient assessment. Patient’s father refused transport.

Squad 61 responded to the 500 block of Abrams Way for a 60-year-old man who had fallen. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient assessment. The patient refused transport.

Engine 62 dispatched to the 4800 block of County Road 29 for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care. The patient was loaded into the ambulance for transport.

Monday, February 17

Citizen assist to the 1300 block of County Road 4E to replace smoke detector batteries.

Engine 616 dispatched to the 15000 block of N. 115th Street for a controlled burn. The crew investigated the materials being burned and verified the active burning was being controlled.

BFPD dispatched to I-25 mm250 NB for a motor vehicle accident. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient assessment and loading the patient into the ambulance. The scene was turned back over to CSP.

Squad 61 dispatched to the Love’s Travel Stop for a sick person. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care and loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

Tuesday, February 18

Engine 62 dispatched to the 200 block of Candice Court for a person who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 900 block of Welch Avenue for a medical. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care. The patient refused transport.

Wednesday, February 19

Squad 61 dispatched to the 500 block of S. 9th Street for a 78-year-old female with chest pains. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care and loading the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 1000 block of 2nd Street for a law enforcement medical assist. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted loading the patient into the ambulance.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 2200 block of Clayton Place for a medical. The crew evaluated the patient and transferred care to TVEMS. The patient was loaded for transport to a local hospital.

Engine 61 responded to S. Taft Avenue and 36th Street SW for possible power lines down next to the roadway. All power poles and lines were intact. With no incident found, Engine 61 cleared the scene.

Engine 62 dispatched to the intersection of County Road 8E and County Road 23 for a motor vehicle accident. The crew found a single vehicle off the road with no damage and no occupant. With no occupants found, the vehicle was marked with caution tape.

Engine 62 provided coverage for Loveland Fire Rural Authority Station 43 while their units were responding to a structure fire. During coverage, Engine 62 was not assigned any incidents. Engine 62 cleared LFRA Station 43 upon the return of LFRA to the station.

Thursday, February 20

BFPD dispatched to the intersection of Highway 287 and W. County Road 8 for a two-vehicle accident. The crew checked for injuries and hazards of the first vehicle while TVEMS checked for injuries in the second vehicle. No injuries were reported. The crew assisted LCSO with clean-up of the scene.

BFPD dispatched to the 1700 block of Wales for a residential fire alarm. There were no signs of smoke or fire, and the representing party stated that the smoke detectors were going off. The crew made a sweep of the entire structure and found no signs of smoke or fire. The crews began to check and change batteries in all detectors.

Friday, February 21

Engine 61 dispatched to the 3300 block of Curlew Drive for a gas leak. The crew used the monitoring equipment and found no elevated levels of gas in the home.

Squad 61 responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical assist.

Monday, February 24

Squad 61 dispatched to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a medical. The crew evaluated the patient and transferred patient care to TVEMS. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

Tuesday, February 25

Squad 61 dispatched to the 20900 block of SE Frontage Road for a law enforcement medical assist. TVEMS assumed patient care. The patient was transported to a local hospital.

Citizen assist to the 1600 block of Mount Meeker Avenue to change smoke detector batteries.

Squad 61 dispatched to the 3400 block of Woodcock Street for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care.

Engine 61 dispatched to Carrie Martin Elementary School for an alarm system activation. The alarm had been pulled by a student and there was no emergency. The alarm system was reset.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 600 block of Great Basin Court for a CO alarm activation. The crew entered the home with the monitoring equipment and found no elevated levels of CO. The alarms were determined to be malfunctioning. The homeowner stated that she would have them replaced.

Wednesday, February 26

Squad 61 dispatched to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a medical alarm activation. It was found to be an accidental activation. The crew confirmed the patient did not need assistance before clearing the scene.

BFPD dispatched to the 1200 block of Arapahoe Avenue for a 74-year-old female who had fallen. The crew provided patient care until TVEMS arrived. The patient was loaded in the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

Thursday, February 27

Engine 61 responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical assist.

BFPD dispatched to the 500 block of Redwood Circle for an odor investigation. The crew entered the home with the monitoring equipment and found no elevated levels of gas. All gas piping was checked for leaks, and none were found.

BFPD dispatched to the 800 block of Highway 60 for a 2-vehicle accident. Loveland Engine 41 was on scene evaluating the accident.

Friday, February 28

Engine 61 dispatched to the 3400 block of Fairways Drive for a gas leak. A construction crew had cut a gas line. Xcel Energy clamped the line stopping the leak.

Citizen assist to the 100 block of Colorado Avenue to unlock a vehicle that was running.

BFPD assisted a 13–year-old patient who was sick and brought to Station 61. TVEMS arrived at the station and assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport.

BFPD responded to the 300 block of 42nd Street SW for a medical assist. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital.

Saturday, February 29

Squad 61 responded to the 18000 block of Weld County Road 3 for a medical. It was an accidental medical alarm activation.

Engine 61 dispatched to the 200 block of Spring Hill Lane for an outside odor investigation. The crew investigated the area and found the source of the odor to be from the waste water treatment plant.

BFPD dispatched to the 500 block of S. 5th Street for an outside odor investigation. The crew investigated the odor in and around the house with no hazards found. The odor was determined to be from the waste water treatment plant.

BPFD dispatched to the 300 block of 42nd Street SW for a residential structure fire. BFPD staged at the scene. Loveland Engine 47 located the small fire and extinguished it.
