Monday, December 30

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252, involving two vehicles. There was minor damage to the vehicles and no injuries were reported.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Horseshoe Circle. The fire crew assisted TVEMS with medical attention. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, December 31

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on North County Road 17 for a patient experiencing hip and leg pain. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the eastbound lane of Highway 56, involving two cars. There was moderate to heavy damage to the vehicles. One person was injured with a possible broken leg. The crew assisted with transporting the patient and providing traffic control.

Thursday, January 2

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a possible stroke on Mayo Court. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 249. This was a non-injury accident.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

Saturday, January 4

BFPD responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Highway 287 just south of LCR 8. A plow truck was found on the shoulder of the road with a fire inside on the passenger side and the fire had also moved into the front tire. The fire crew worked for an hour to completely extinguish the flames inside the cab and tire.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call at the Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for an infant on Mount Meeker Ave.

Sunday, January 5

BFPD responded to a fire alarm on Weld County Road 7. The building alarm was a malfunction caused by an electrical issue.

Monday, January 5

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on 2nd St. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on W. County Road 10E. A single vehicle was found in the ditch. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a report by a neighbor of a residential fire alarm on Greenwood Ave. The house was unoccupied but the alarms were sounding. The fire crew made entry to search for signs of fire, nothing was found. The crew determined that the detectors were malfunctioning.

BFPD responded to a report of downed power lines on LCR 29. The power line was not a direct hazard to the nearby structure, but the house had lost all power. Poudre Valley REA was notified and responded to the scene.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on 4th Street.

BFPD responded to a report of an outside gas leak on Mount Meeker Ave. The fire crew found a construction site with a cut gas line. Xcel was notified and arrived to the scene. The fire crew cleared the scene once the leak was isolated.

BFPD assisted a citizen on Bimson Avenue with a water heater leak.

Tuesday, January 6

BFPD responded to a citizen request for assistance with a gas water heater on Victoria Street. The fire crew assisted the owner with lighting the water heater.

BFPD assisted a citizen with a smoke detector on 7th Street.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a fall on W. County Road 6.

Wednesday, January 7

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on 1st Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25. Due to weather conditions two vehicles had slid off the road. There were no reported injuries.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 248. A single vehicle had slid off the road. There were no reported injuries.

BFPD responded to several reported incidents on Interstate 25. No injuries were reported.

BFPD responded to a reported commercial fire alarm on 1st St. This was a false alarm.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on S. Iowa Ave. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of an outside gas odor near LCR 21 and LCR 8. The crew did not find any levels of gas in the area.

Thursday, January 8

BFPD responded to a medical call for breathing problems on Iowa Avenue. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a cut gas line on County Road 10E and County Road 17. A line had been cut by trenching equipment. The crew assisted with road closure while Xcel Energy responded and clamped the leak.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm at Berthoud Living Center. The crew was met by the maintenance worker who stated this was a false alarm. The crew replaced a faulty smoke detector and reset the alarm.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm on 1st Street. This was a false alarm.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on McColm Street. The patient was transported.

Friday, January 9

BFPD responded to a fuel spill from a vehicle accident reported on South LCR 23E and Beverly Drive. There were no injuries reported. The crew worked on the hazards and directed traffic.

BFPD responded to a single vehicle accident with heavy damage on LCR 12 and LCR 29. There were no reported injuries.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Hummingbird Place.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Bimson Avenue. A patient sustained a broken ankle due to slipping on the ice. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a gas odor on 3rd Street and Mountain Avenue. The fire crew was unable to detect any readings of CO in the building or surrounding area.

Saturday, January 10

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to a medical call on Bunyan and 1st Street.

Monday, January 12

BFPD responded to a rollover accident on Highway 60 between WCR 3 and WCR 5. A single pickup was found on its roof off the roadway. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD assisted with a medical call for an injury on Second Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, January 13

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Welch Avenue. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to a medical call on Eighth Street. The patient was transported.

Wednesday, January 14

BFPD responded to a mutual aid structure fire in Mountain View Fire District. BFPD supplied water and manpower throughout the incident.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for heart problems in the 100 block of Tavner Court. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for stroke symptoms on Fourth Street. The patient was transported.

Thursday, January 15

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident on East Highway 56 and Weld County Road 1. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. One vehicle had rolled and was found on its roof. There were no reported injuries.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call in the 200 block of Victoria Street. A female had been injured slipping on the ice.

Friday, January 16

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on W. County Road 6. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Cottonwood Lane. The patient was transported.

Saturday, January 17

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for traumatic injury to a patient on Charro Avenue.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of South County Road 17 and West County Road 2E. A single vehicle with moderate damage was found 20 feet down a ravine. The driver was injured and transported.

BFPD responded to a reported grass fire in the area of County Road 10 and First Street. The crew found twelve feet of residential fence line burning, not threatening any structures. The fire was extinguished. The fire was found to have been caused from ashes disposed of from a fireplace.

BFPD responded to a report of a bonfire on First Street. A fire was located in the backyard in a barbeque grill. Due to the wind and location of the fire, the individuals were asked to extinguish the fire.

Sunday, January 18

BFPD responded to a report of power lines down on Second Street. The crew did not find power lines down but the building appeared to be experiencing electrical problems. The building maintenance was notified and the crew cleared the scene.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. There were no injuries reported in this accident.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm on Second Street. This was a false alarm, activated by construction dust.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Weld County Road 5.

Monday, January 19

BFPD responded to a reported grass fire on Interstate 25 at mile marker 251. A small fire was found just east of the Interstate. The fire crew extinguished the fire.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for breathing problems on Second St.

Tuesday, January 20

BFPD responded to a reported water leak in the Wayside Inn on Fifth and Mountain. Water was found rushing out of a pipe in the utility room in the basement. The water valve was quickly shut off and the scene was left to the responsible party.

Wednesday, January 21

BFPD responded to a single vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. There was mild damage and no injuries were reported.

Thursday, January 22

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a person who had fallen on Blue Mountain Ave.

BFPD and TVEMS assisted a citizen on Weld County Road 36, who had fallen and needed help getting back to their bed.

BFPD assisted a citizen with a smoke alarm on Blue Mountain Ave.

Saturday, January 24

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on West County Road 8E.

Sunday, January 25

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on First Street. A vehicle with heavy damage was found on its side in a ditch, 200 feet from an intersection of First Street and CR 10. The driver of the vehicle was reported injured but had fled the scene. The vehicle had struck a telephone pole and Qwest was notified of the damage. The fire crew cleared the scene once the vehicle was towed from the ditch.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to a medical call on East County Road 10. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Eighth Street and Welch Ave. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to an engine compartment fire for a vehicle located at Kwik Korner gas station. The fire crew extinguished the fire and requested a fire investigator to investigate the source of ignition.

BFPD responded to a report of outside smoke in the vicinity of WCR 36 and WCR 1. The fire crew was unable to locate any smoke in the area.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for an injury at the Valley Dirt Rider track. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Doyle Drive for a patient having breathing difficulties.

Monday, January 26

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a toddler having breathing difficulties on Seventh Street and Bunyan Avenue. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Timeless Trail for a person who had fallen from a ladder. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a dumpster fire at Valley Dirt Rider. The crew extinguished the smoldering fire that they found in an unattended large trash bin.

BFPD responded to a medical call on W. County Road 10 for a possible stroke victim. The crew assisted TVEMS with the medical care and with transporting the patient.

Tuesday, January 27

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm on E. Highway 56. The crew investigated the single story building and found no signs of fire. The occupants of the building stated this was a false alarm. The crew reset the alarm before leaving.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Mount Meeker Avenue for a person who had fallen and sustained injuries.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for an elderly person who had fallen down some stairs. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a sick person on Highplains Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a grass fire on Weld County Road 1. The crew found a smoldering fire being attended to by the property owner.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 56 and the frontage road. This was a two-vehicle accident with light to moderate damage to the vehicles. One occupant was injured and transported.

Wednesday, January 28

BFPD responded to a report of CO alarms sounding in a house on Fifth Street. The crew found the home evacuated and found significant levels of carbon monoxide in the living area. The source was coming from the furnace. The homeowner was advised to not enter the home until a HVAC company could further evaluate the situation.

Thursday, January 29

BFPD assisted Loveland Fire with covering their station while they worked a structure fire on South Wilson.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for breathing problems on South Iowa.

Saturday, January 31

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. A single vehicle had rolled off the Interstate and was on its side. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on WCR 7 and WCR 48. A single vehicle had rolled over into a canal. The vehicle was unoccupied and the scene was left with Colorado State Patrol.
