Friday, January 1, 2016

BFPD responded to Wagon Wheel Road for an animal rescue. A dog had fallen down an embankment and couldn’t get out. The crew was able to lift the dog up the embankment.

BFPD responded to Bein Street for a medical assist. Patient didn’t want to be transported.

BFPD responded to Franklin Avenue for a sick person. Was transported.

Sunday, January 3rd

BFPD responded to medical call on E. Nebraska Avenue for a confused elderly person. Patient didn’t want to be transported. Was cleared by TVEMS.

BFPD responded to Hwy 56 for a medical call. Assisted TVEMS with patient care.

 Monday, January 4

BFPD responded to a medical call on Wilshire Drive. Assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to a medical call on 4th Street for a sick person. Assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BPPD responded to Torreys Peak Drive for a citizen assist with smoke alarms. Changed all of the batteries in smoke detectors in house.

BFPD responded to Homer Road to assist TVEMS with a medical call.

Tuesday, January 5

BFPD ran a citizen assist for installing a new smoke detector on Torreys Peak Drive.

BFPD responded to East Nebraska Drive for a sick person. Assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to I-25 MM250 North Bound for a motor vehicle accident with no injuries. Both cars were off the road with no hazards. Waited until Colorado State Patrol to arrive, then cleared scene.

BFPD responded to LCR 2 for a public assist. Helped with lifting a patient back into bed. Declined the response of an ambulance.

Wednesday, January 6

BFPD responded to 4th Street for a fall victim. Assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to S. County Line Road for a large animal rescue. Found a horse who had fallen through the outdoor pool cover and was in distress. The crew cut the pool cover so they could use rope leads to direct the horse to the shallow end stairs. The horse was then able to walk out of pool.

Thursday, January 7

BFPD had a walk-in medical for stomach pain to Station 1. The crew began taking patient care until TVEMS arrived and took over.

Friday, January 10

BFPD responded to a medical assist on Blue Mountain Avenue. The patient stated they were having chest pains. TVEMS arrived on scene and assumed patient care.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Franklin Avenue. Berthoud manpower was used to help assist TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to Hubbell Street for an unconscious male. Squad 11 arrived and found patient to be responsive. LCSO staged outside while it was determined if there was a patient. TVEMS advised the Squad they could clear the scene.

Monday, January 11

BFPD responded to Franklin Avenue for a medical call to assist TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to Glenview Drive for breathing problems. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Tuesday, January 12

BFPD responded to 9th Street to assist TVEMS with patient care.

Wednesday, January 13

BFPD responded to Cedar Drive for breathing problems, TVEMS arrived and assumed patient care.

Thursday, January 14

BFPD responded to Wilfred Road for non-injury motor vehicle accident. Drifting snow was on the road had caused one car to rear-end another.

BFPD responded to Weld County Road 1 for a medical call. The patient was deceased.

BFPD responded to Lake Avenue for a medical call. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS.

Friday, January 15

BFPD responded to Celestial Drive for a gas leak. The crew found that a backhoe had cut a gas line. The crew notified Excel Energy who came out and fixed the problem.

BFPD responded to LCR 2E for an outside rubbish fire. The crew explained to the property owner the rules associated with obtaining an agricultural burn permit.

BFPD responded to Torreys Peak Lane for a citizen assist with smoke detectors in the home. The crew changed the old ones out for new working ones.

Saturday, January 16

BFPD responded to WCR 7 and WCR 48 for a single vehicle in a ditch on its top. There were no injuries.

BFPD had a walk-in medical for back pain. BFPD began patient care, TVEMS arrived and took over patient care.

BFPD responded to Gentlewind Way for an allergic reaction. When TVEMS arrived, command was terminated.

Monday, January 18

BFPD was sent to Bunyan Avenue to evaluate a smoke odor, upon arrival the crew used the gas monitor and found nothing.

BFPD responded to Franklin Avenue for a medical call to assist TVEMS with patient care.

Wednesday, January 20

BFPD responded to Massachusetts Avenue for breathing problems. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Highway 287. Assisted TVEMS with patient care for a diabetic problem.

BFPD responded to 6th Street for an unknown medical problem.

Thursday, January 21

BFPD responded to Mountain Avenue for a motor vehicle accident with no injuries. When TVEMS arrived, command was terminated.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Snowy Ridge Lane. TVEMS arrived on scene and assumed patient care.

BFPD responded to Franklin Avenue for an unconscious person. When TVEMS arrived command was terminated.

BFPD responded to Welch Avenue for a medical call. Patient had a laceration to his hand. TVEMS arrived on scene and assumed patient care.

Thursday, January 22

BFPD responded to N. 95th Street for a medical call. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS.

BFPD was called to I-25 MM 249 south bound. The crew found light damage to vehicles involved in a rear-end type motor vehicle accident. There were no injuries and the crew assisted Colorado State Patrol with moving cars out of the lanes of traffic.

BFPD responded to Iowa Avenue for a child locked in a bathroom with water running. An adult had been able to get the door open. The crew checked out the child for possible injuries. The child was fine and all units cleared scene.

BFPD responded to Martingale Drive for a medical call. Patient was sitting in a chair after a fall when BFPD arrived.

BFPD responded to 2nd Street for a medical assist along with TVEMS. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care.

Saturday, January 23

BFPD responded to Martingale Drive for a medical call. The crew found an individual with leg pain from a fall. Command was turned over to TVEMS.

Sunday, January 24

BFPD responded for a citizen assist on 3rd Street. The crew found a smoke alarm chirping in the living room which had a vaulted ceiling. Owners stated that the batteries had not been changed in a while. The crew was able to change all the smoke alarm batteries. A test function was done, all alarms operated normally.

BFPD responded to Franklin Avenue for a medical call to assist TVEMS with patient care.

Wednesday, January 27

BFPD responded to a medical call for a person on 4th Street who was having difficulty breathing. The crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to Wark Avenue for a medical call. The patient was having difficulty breathing. Station 2 personnel then transferred command to TVEMS.

Thursday, January 28

BFPD responded to Franklin Avenue for a medical call. When TVEMS arrived patient care was transferred to them.

BFPD responded to West County Road 4 for a medical assist. When TVEMS arrived it was determined transport was not necessary.

Friday, January 29

BFPD responded to 2nd Street for power lines down. Squad 11 checked for a blown transformer. Xcel Energy was notified of the outage and they dispatched workers to fix the problem.

BFPD responded to Schofield Road for a trash fire. The homeowner stated that he had put ashes from his fireplace in a barrel. Due to the high winds the embers blew out of the barrel and started slash piles on fire. E-2 deployed an attack line for the fire control and mop-up operations. The fire was quickly knocked down, and mop-up was complete.

Saturday, January 30

BFPD responded for a sick person on W LCR 4. Patient was conscious and breathing. E-2 assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded for a sick person on LCR 17. Patient care was turned over to TVEMS.

Sunday, January 31

BFPD responded to Larimer County Road 2 for a medical assist. The individual was sitting on the floor after a fall. The fire crew assisted TVEMS with getting the patient back into bed.

BFPD had a walk-in to Station 1 for a medical call. TVEMS arrived who took over the patient’s care.

BFPD responded to LCR 10E for a vehicle fire. The crew found an older Ford pick-up with a fully involved passenger compartment fire. BFPD extinguished the fire. The investigation was completed and a report offered to Larimer County Sheriff’s office.

BFPD responded to Wilford Road for a person having chest pains. The crew found the patient sitting upright in the living room. Patient stated that new medication was causing chest pains. BFPD assisted with patient care with TVEMS.
