Wednesday, July 2

BFPD responded to a reported vehicle fire on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. The crew found a vehicle with a broken radiator hose. After verifying there were no hazards, the fire crew cleared the scene.

BFPD responded to a reported grass fire at Weld County Road 7 and Weld County Road 38. A fire approximately 120’ long was smoldering under a fence. The fire crew extinguished the fire.

Friday, July 4

BFPD responded to a fire alarm at Berthoud High School. The fire crew located a light smoke and smell of burning electrical coming from the utility room. An air compressor was found with a faulty motor causing the smoke and burning odor. The crew vented the area and notified maintenance of the electrical problem, waiting on scene until the arrival of a school representative.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Quandry Avenue.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. This was a two-vehicle accident with moderate damage to the vehicles. One patient was injured and was treated on scene.

Saturday, July 5

BFPD assisted TVEMS and Berthoud Police with a medical call on County Road 10E.

BFPD responded to a medical call at Brookside Gardens for a person who had suffered a seizure. The fire crew assisted TVEMS with medical care. The patient was transported.

Sunday, July 6

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on E. Highway 56

Tuesday, July 8

BFPD responded to a medical call for blurry vision in the 1300 Block of Weld County Road 36. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care. Patient was transported.

BFPD responded with Johnstown Fire to an accident with injuries at Hwy 60 and I-25 Frontage Road. BFPD was cancelled en route.

BFPD responded to an odor investigation in the 15000 Block of Moss Rock Court. The homeowner was concerned about an odor that smelled like smoke. The fire crew investigated and nothing was found.

Wednesday, July 9

BFPD responded to a citizen assist for a house that was being flooded in the 500 Block of E CR 8. The water was determined to be coming from an irrigation ditch. BFPD was cancelled en route.

Thursday, July 10

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for falls in the 500 Block of S Ninth Street. The patient complained of hip pain and was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS and LCSO with a two-vehicle accident. The occupants were assessed and determined to have no injuries. BFPD was requested to stay on scene until another LCSO officer arrived.

Friday, July 11

BFPD responded to a medical call for a gunshot wound in the 3000 Block of Meining Rd. The patient had been shot in the leg by the neighbor who was trying to shoot a rabbit. TVEMS transported the patient emergent.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to Carter Lake for a medical emergency.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and Johnstown Fire for a two-vehicle accident on I-25 at mile marker 251. One patient was transported and Johnstown cleared the scene while BFPD assisted with clean up.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on HWY 287 at mile marker 325. LCSO canceled the fire crew and stated, “there was no crash”.

Saturday, July 12

BFPD responded to a medical call for falls in the 400 Block of Iowa Ave. TVEMS transported the patient.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical for a sick person at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was not transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a snake bite in the 300 block of Nebraska Avenue. The patient was not transported. BPFD located, neutralized, and removed the snake for proper disposal.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for seizures in the area of HWY 56 and I-25. The patient reported suffering from multiple seizures. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a person with difficulty breathing at Kwik Korner. The patient was transported.

Sunday, July 13

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on I-25 at mile marker 249. A single motorcycle had crashed. One patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded with LCSO to a medical call for an overdose in the 1300 Block of N Fourth Street. The patient was transported.

Monday, July 14

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO for a medical call in the 600 Block of Capitol Avenue.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for falls in the 700 Block of Douglas Place.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for fainting in the 1300 Block of N First Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with Johnstown Fire to a grass fire on I-25 at mile marker 252 in the southbound lanes. The fire crews extinguished the blaze.

BFPD responded to a car accident at the intersection of W County Road 8 and N County Road 21. No injuries were reported and BFPD was cleared when Colorado State Patrol arrived on scene.

BFPD responded to a grass fire on I-25 at mile marker 248 in the southbound lanes. The crew extinguished the fire.

BFPD responded to a car accident at the intersection of WCR 7 and HWY 56. No injuries were reported. The crew assisted in cleaning debris off the road.

BFPD responded to a report of power lines down at the intersection of WCR 1 and WCR 40. Crews stayed on scene until PVREA arrived.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a rollover accident in the 1900 Block of N Highway 287. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded with Loveland Fire to a boat that was sinking in the middle of the lake on County Road 17. No one was on the boat; the boat had broken loose in the hail storm. The boat was retrieved by the fire crew.

Tuesday, July 15

BFPD responded to a citizen assist in the 1400 Block of Oak Drive. The residence had flooded and the crews assisted in pumping some of the water out of the crawl space

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical for a person with chest pain in the 1500 Block of Chokeberry. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical for a person with back pain on the northbound off ramp at I-25 and HWY 56. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for falls in the 900 Block of S County Road 31. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS a medical call in the 200 Block of Second Street.

BPFD responded with TVEMS and WCSO for a single vehicle rollover accident in the 19000 Block of WCR 7. No injuries were reported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for headache in the 1300 Block of N First Street. The patient was transported.

Thursday, July 17

BFPD responded to a fire alarm at Berthoud High School. No fire was found.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a sick person in the 300 Block of Bimson Avenue. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS for a medical call at the intersection of Bunyan Avenue and Second Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO for a medical call in the 5100 Block of Lonetree Drive. One patient was transported.

Friday, July 18

BFPD responded to a medical call at the intersection of WCR 1 and HWY 56. No incident was found and all units cleared.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and CSP to a medical for seizures on I-25 at mile marker 252. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call in the 1000 Block of LCR 2. TVEMS cleared the fire crew from the scene.

Saturday, July 19

Berthoud Fire Calls: July 2014 The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with Johnstown Fire to a vehicle accident on I-25 at mile marker 252.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to an accident involving a car and a bicycle at the intersection of S County Road 23E and W County Road 4. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS, Johnstown Fire, and CSP to a multi-car accident on I-25 at mile marker 252.

BFPD responded with TVEMS for a medical call in the 900 Block of E County Road 4. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for chest pain in the 300 Block of Wark Avenue. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to a medical call at the south boat ramp at Carter Lake. One patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for seizures in the 800 Block of Marshall Place.

Sunday, July 20

BFPD responded with Loveland Fire for a single vehicle accident involving extrication at the intersection of County Road 17 and Redwood. BFPD was cancelled en route.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a vehicle accident on I-25 at mile marker 251. BFPD assisted with traffic control until the scene was safe.

Monday, July 21

BFPD responded for a fire alarm in the 700 Block of Second Street. No fire was found.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call in the 1600 Block of Hollyberry Street. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, July 22

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call in the 3800 Block of Nations Way. One patient was transported.

Wednesday, July 23

BFPD assisted TVEMS and LCSO (Larimer County Sherriff’s Office) with a medical call in the 500 Block of Ninth Street.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to a medical call in the 400 Block of Third Street. The patient was transported.

Thursday, July 24

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call in the 700 Block of HWY 56.

BFPD responded with TVEMS, LCSO, and Larimer County Ranger to a medical call in the 5600 Block of County Road 8E.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call in the 200 Block of Second Street.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for falls in the 2100 Block of N. County Road 13. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS and LCSO with a medical call in the 300 Block of Eighth Street.

Friday, July 25

BFPD assisted TVEMS and LCSO with a medical call in the 700 Block of Mountain Avenue. The patient was transported.

Saturday, July 26

BFPD assisted TVEMS and LCSO with a medical call in the 1200 Block of Fourth Street.

Sunday, July 27

BFPD assisted TVEMS and LCSO with a medical call in the 1400 Block of Maple Drive.

BFPD assisted TVEMS and Motorcross Medics with a motorcycle accident with injuries at the Valley Dirt Riders Track. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for breathing problems in the 200 Block of Red Cloud Avenue.

BFPD responded to a fire alarm in the 200 Block of Water Avenue. No fire was found.

 Monday, July 28

BFPD responded to a call for a large animal rescue on Weld County Road 1. The fire crew was able to assist a horse that was unable to stand up from a lying position.

BFPD responded to a report of a gas leak on Seventh Street. The gas detector was used and nothing was found.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Caballero Street for a person who had fallen and had a possible head injury. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to Berthoud Living Center for the third-shift fire drill, coordinated with the on-site custodian.

Tuesday, July 29

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 56. One person sustained a head laceration and was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of power lines down at Eighth Street and Franklin Avenue. The crew found a power pole that was smoking from the top of the pole, and occasionally, due to the wind, flames were visible. Xcel responded and the crew turned the scene over to them.

Wednesday, July 30

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Capital Ave. There was moderate damage to both vehicles. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. There was light damage to the vehicle and no injuries were reported.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm at High Country Classics auto repair shop. This was a false alarm; the exhaust in the building had activated the alarm. The fire crew reset the system.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Second Street for a possible stroke victim. The patient was transported.

Thursday, July 31

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm at Little Thompson Water District. This was a false alarm.

BFPD assisted a resident on Second Street with their medical equipment.
