Saturday, March 1

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 248. This was a single vehicle accident with moderate damage and no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 56 and County Road 21. A single vehicle had run through a fence and struck a small building on the property. The vehicle had moderate damage and there were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded with Berthoud Police to a medical call on Second Street.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Seventh Street. The patient was transported. Incident

Monday, March 3

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Seventh Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to the Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to an odor investigation inside a commercial building on Massachusetts Avenue. The fire crew searched the building and surrounding area and was unable to detect any readings of carbon monoxide.

BFPD responded to a report of smoke detector alarms that were activated in a residence on Turner Avenue. The detectors were alarming but there was no sign of fire inside the residence. The fire crew found several detectors that were faulty and some just needing new batteries.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Bothun Road.

Tuesday, March 4

BFPD responded to a reported vehicle fire on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. The crew found a mechanical breakdown, not a vehicle fire.

BFPD responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. There was moderate damage to the vehicle and one occupant was transported.

BFPD responded to a reported wildland fire near Cougar Run. This was a controlled burn with a valid burn permit.

Wednesday, March 5

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident at the Intersection of W. County Road 8 and Highway 287. Two vehicles involved in the accident had heavy damage. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on W. County Road 4. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for an infant on Eighth Street.

Thursday, March 6

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call at the Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a person with heart problems on Yellowstone Road. The patient was transported.

Friday, March 7

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for diabetic problems on N. 95th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call for a patient who had fallen on Jefferson Drive. The fire crew assisted TVEMS with patient care.

BFPD responded to a residential fire alarm on Wales Drive. The detectors were checked and everything appeared to be normal.

Saturday, March 8

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person with chest pain on Martingale Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 254. This was a six-vehicle accident. One person was transported.

BFPD responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. The crew was unable to find an accident in the area.

Sunday, March 9

BFPD responded to a power line down on County Road 4E. The crew found a phone line that was wrapped around a power line. Poudre Valley REA was notified and the crew remained on scene assisting with traffic control until the arrival of PVREA.

Monday, March 10

BFPD responded to a reported outside gas odor on Fifth Street. The crew was unable to detect a reading on the monitor.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Mountain Ave. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a report of a person who had fallen from a ladder. The person was transported.

Tuesday, March 11

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Foothills Drive for a person with chest pain. The individual was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to the Berthoud Athletic Club for a person with a diabetic problem.

Friday, March 14

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Megan Way for fainting. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 249. This was a four-vehicle accident with minor damage and no injuries reported.

Saturday, March 15

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 249. This was a 2-vehicle accident with no injuries.

Sunday, March 16

grassfireBFPD responded to a grass fire on E. Highway 56. The fire crew found an approximately ¼ acre grass fire with one to two foot high flames. The fire was extinguished and the area was checked for hot spots before the crew left the scene.

BFPD responded to a report of an illegal burn on Bimson Ave. The homeowner was burning illegally and was advised of the burn permit policy.

Monday, March 17

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a person with chest pain on Fourth Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at Mile marker 252. The crew was unable to find an accident anywhere along the interstate.

Tuesday, March 18

BFPD responded to a reported outside gas leak near the intersection of W CR 8 and Meadowlark Drive. The cut line was found to be in a lot on the corner of Glacier Ave. and Meadowlark Dr. A construction crew had struck a natural gas line with a mini-backhoe. Xcel was notified and responded to the scene.

BFPD responded to a report of a stroke/seizure at Berthoud High School. The fire crew assisted TVEMS with the medical care. The patient was transported.

Thursday, March 20

BFPD responded to a possible multi car motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25. No accident was found.

BFPD responded to a smoke odor investigation in the area of W CR 10E. The fire crew investigated along CR 10E, First Street. and Clayton Place and was unable to locate an emergency.

Friday, March 21

BFPD responded to a smoke odor investigation near Yellowstone Road and Hwy 287. The crew found a controlled burn.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for an individual with stroke symptoms on Douglas Place. The patient was transported.

Saturday, March 22

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Seventh Street.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for chest pain on First Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on SW 49th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a reported grass fire near structures on Arleigh Drive. The crew met with the responsible party who was burning wood in burn barrels but did not have a burn permit. The crew advised the owner to extinguish the fire and to obtain a burn permit before burning in the future.

Sunday, March 23

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for breathing problems on Iowa Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a gas odor/leak on Aspen Drive. The gas odor was found to be coming from the gas stove. The crew shutoff the line to the stove and ventilated the structure.

Monday, March 24

BFPD responded to a residential fire alarm on Bunyan Ave. The crew found this to be a false alarm. The smoke alarm was activated from construction dust.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for chest pain on Burbank Street.

Tuesday, March 25

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Larimer County Road 14 and 2E. There was heavy damage to the single vehicle. The driver, the only occupant of the car, was injured but was not transported. The crew assisted with traffic control and then clearing the roadway of debris.

Wednesday, March 26

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250 northbound. The crew was advised this was a single vehicle rollover and the only occupant of the vehicle was ejected and found deceased lying in the median.

Saturday, March 29

BFPD responded to a medical call on Cougar Run. The patient was found deceased upon arrival.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a patient who had fallen on Weld County Road 38.

BFPD responded to a reported smoke odor on County Road 8E. The crew found an unattended control burn that had several hot spots creating smoke. The responsible party had left the scene to get fuel. The fire crew extinguished the fire with the help of the responsible party. After a few hours of extinguishing and checking for hot areas the crew cleared the scene.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 251. This was a non-injury accident.

Sunday, March 30

BFPD responded to a trailer explosion in Loveland at Flat Iron Campground. The fire crew assisted with investigation. The crew cleared the scene when they determined the incident was under control.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person with abdominal pain on Welch Ave. The patient was transported.

Monday, March 31

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Second St.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. A patient had fallen from their wheelchair causing significant injury to their face.
