Sunday, November 1

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Bein Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for an elderly male who had fallen on 4th Street.

Monday, November 2

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on LCR 23E and LCR 2. This was a non-injury accident with mild damage to both vehicles.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center for a patient having seizures. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, November 3

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Monroe. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Branding Iron Way. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS assisted a patient who had fallen from bed on 4th St. The crews assisted the patient back into bed.

Thursday, November 5

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on E. Colorado Avenue. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Bimson Avenue for a possible stroke. The patient was transported.

Friday, November 6

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. An eight-vehicle accident had occurred with minor to moderate damage to all vehicles. One patient was injured and treated on scene. The crew cleaned up a fuel spill and assisted with traffic control.

BFPD responded to a carbon dioxide alarm at a residence on Hummingbird Place. The crew found readings of carbon monoxide in the residence. The homeowner was advised to call Xcel and a HVAC company. The crew opened windows and doors throughout the house until Xcel arrived.

Saturday, November 7

BFPD responded to a report of an odor investigation on Meining Road. The fire crew determined this to be a controlled burn bonfire.

BFPD responded to a report of a structure fire at Berthoud Living Center. The crew found what appeared to be smoke coming from the generator room which was coming from the exhaust pipe. The crew searched inside the entire building and there were no signs of fire. The crew turned their finding over to the maintenance personnel. .

BFPD and TVEMS assisted a citizen on Victoria Street who needed oxygen due to a power outage. The crew helped hook up their spare tank.

BFPD assisted a citizen on Welch Avenue for a patient who needed oxygen due to a power outage.

BFPD assisted a citizen with an alarming CO detector on 2nd Street. The crew did not find any readings of CO in the residence. The crew reset the alarm.

Sunday, November 8

BFPD assisted a citizen on Victoria Street who was having problems with their oxygen tank and with a carbon monoxide detector. The crew assisted with changing the oxygen tank and also replacing batteries in the CO detector.

BFPD assisted Hays Market with starting a natural gas powered generator due to a widespread power outage affecting the town. The crew assisted workers on the roof of the building to charge a dead battery to the unit. Once power was restored the crew cleared the scene.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm at Berthoud Elementary. The crew found a light haze coming from the mechanical room. Nothing else was showing in the building. After further inspection, the cause of the smoke was determined to be a malfunction of the air sending units motor. The school maintenance worker arrived on scene and took over the problem.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call alert activation at Hamilton Park Apartments. This was a false alarm triggered by power being restored following a power outage.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Hollyberry Street. The patient was transported.

Monday, November 9

BFPD responded to a report of two toddlers standing on a roof on Douglas Place. The fire crew raised a ladder to the roof and brought the children safely to the ground and they were returned to their mother.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Hollyberry Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call on Doyle Drive. The patient was deceased upon arrival. The scene was turned over to LCSO.

Tuesday, November 10

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for breathing problems on 2nd Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for possible seizures on Bunyan Avenue. The patient was transported.

Wednesday, November 11

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical emergency on LCR 23. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for breathing problems on 5th Street.

BFPD responded to a reported residential structure fire on Schultz Lane. The crew found no signs of fire, but the smoke alarms were sounding. The fire crew found no signs of smoke or fire in the residence. They determined that the smoke alarms needed to be replaced.

Thursday, November 12

BFPD and TVEMS responded to WCR 7 for a report of a female who had been bucked off a horse and was found unconscious. The patient was transported.

Friday, November 13

BFPD assisted a citizen on 14th Street who had fallen and needed assistance back into his chair.

BFPD responded to a single vehicle rollover on LCR 17. The vehicle sustained minor damage. The driver was transported for further evaluation.

BFPD responded to a reported gas odor on Alpine Avenue. A construction company had hit a gas line causing a leak. The fire crew assisted with evacuation of residents in the area. Once Xcel arrived the line was clamped and residents were able to return to their homes.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on LCR 21. The patient was declared deceased after resuscitation efforts were determined unsuccessful.

Saturday, November 14

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on 4th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle rollover accident on I-25 at mm 250. There were no injuries reported. The fire crew assisted with traffic control and cleared the roadway of debris.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a request for medical care for a patient in a vehicle on I-25 mm 251 having chest pains. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on E. CR 2.

Sunday, November 15

BFPD responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on I-25 at mm 249. A pickup was found on its side. There were no reported injuries. The fire crew assisted with mitigating hazards and clearing roadway of debris.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Villa Lane for a male who had an allergic reaction from bee stings. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, November 17

BFPD responded to a report of a fire alarm at a commercial building on WCR 7. The building was clear with no signs of fire and It was determined to be a false alarm.

BFPD responded to a residential fire alarm on Turner Ave. The crew arrived to the residence and the smoke alarms were sounding but the residence was unoccupied. There were no signs of fire. It was determined to be a result of a faulty detector. The owner was notified and the alarms were reset.

Wednesday, November 18

BFPD responded with Berthoud Police and TVEMS to a medical call on 2nd Street.

Thursday, November 19

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm at Summit Solutions on WCR7. The crew was met by the manager and reported they were having problems with the system and this was a false alarm.

BFPD assisted a citizen on Indiana Avenue with reigniting their water heater.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on 2nd Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a gas odor in a residence on Welch Avenue. The fire crew did not find any indication of gas in the home. The fire crew advised the homeowner to install a CO detector and they replaced batteries in the smoke detectors.

Friday, November 20

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person with breathing problems on 2nd Street. The individual was transported.

Saturday, November 21

BFPD responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on Interstate 25 frontage road near mm 249. This was a non-injury accident.

BFPD responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on Interstate 25 at mm 252. The vehicle was found on its top with the single occupant out of the vehicle claiming no injuries.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 287 and LCR 4. This was a non-injury accident.

BFPD responded to a single vehicle accident on I-25 at mm 249 on the frontage road. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 287. The fire crew assisted with traffic control. The three occupants of the vehicles were uninjured.

BFPD responded to a gas odor near the intersection of Highway 56 and I-25. The fire crew responded and surveyed the area and was unable to locate any odor.

BFPD responded to a reported odor in the area of WCR 3. The fire crew was unable to locate an odor.

Sunday, November 22

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on 1st street for a possible stroke. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Jones Place for a young male who sustained a head injury.

Monday, November 30

BFPD assisted a citizen on Franklin Avenue with their smoke detectors.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Road 17 and Highway 287. This rear end collision was a non-injury accident.

BFPD responded to a report of a minor gas leak in a residence on Turner Avenue. The firefighters were unable to locate a reading of carbon dioxide. The crew searched the outside for odors and then cleared the scene.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for chest pains on Wilfred Road. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, December 1

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call at the Berthoud Living Center.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for occupants of a vehicle near E. LCR 2 and S. LCR 15.

Wednesday, December 2

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on 4th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call for a patient who had fallen on 8th Street. The patient was complaining of shoulder pain. Patient care was transferred to TVEMS when they arrived.

Thursday, December 3

BFPD responded to a report of power lines down on Elm Drive. The crew found a fire burning at the base of a power pole, in a compost pile, a wood fence, a phone box and some trees. The fire was extinguished. Xcel responded to repair the damage to the power lines.

BFPD responded to a medical call on E. Iowa Avenue for a person with knee pain. Patient care was transferred to TVEMS when they arrived. The fire crew helped with loading the patient for transport.

BFPD responded to an auto vs pedestrian accident on 6th Street Court. The pedestrian was found sitting on the curb unharmed. The driver of the vehicle had fled the scene.

Friday, December 4

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a person with seizures on Bruce Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on 1st Street for a patient who had fallen out of a chair.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Yellowstone Road. The patient care was transferred to TVEMS.

BFPD responded to a report of a CO detector alarming in a residence on Arapahoe Drive. The fire crew did not find elevated readings of carbon monoxide in the building. The crew advised the occupant to replace the detector.

Saturday, December 5

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Keep Circle for a patient who had fallen. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a single vehicle accident on E. Highway 56. A vehicle was found with heavy damage. on its side, in a fence, against a power pole. The passenger was extricated from the vehicle and transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a bonfire on WCR5 and Highway 56. The crew found a 25’ x 20’ slash pile burning. This was an unauthorized burn. The crew remained on scene until the fire was extinguished.

Sunday, December 6

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Welch Avenue. A female had fallen on the concrete and injured her head. The patient was transported.
