Thursday, October 1

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 287 and County Road 17. There was mild damage to one vehicle. The second vehicle fled the scene. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical assist for a fall victim on 4th Street. The uninjured patient was assisted back to the couch.

BFPD responded to a reported grass fire on the roadway next to I-25 at mm 252. The crew found that the small fire had already been extinguished. The crew cleaned up the area, checked for hot spots before leaving the area.

Friday, October 2

BFPD assisted a walk-in patient at Station 1 who complained of back pain sustained from an accident earlier in the week. TVEMS responded and took over patient care.

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 287 and LCR4. There were no injuries reported. The fire crew assisted with traffic control.

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident on I-25 at mm 249. There was minor to moderate damage to both vehicles. There were no injuries reported.

Saturday, October 3

BFPD responded to a reported powerline down between 4th and 5th Streets on Lake Avenue. A power pole had been struck by lightning and caught on fire, burning through the top of the pole. Xcel was notified and arrived to cut the power. The crew then extinguished the fire.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Willow Drive.

BFPD responded to a report of a fire alarm at the Brookside Gardens Event Center. This was a false alarm due to steam setting off the smoke alarm.

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident on SW 49th and Highway 287. One person was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a powerline that had been hit by lightning in the 900 block of 3rd Street. Xcel was notified to respond and correct the issue. The crew stood by while the work was completed.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to Berthoud Living Center to assist with transporting a patient.

BFPD, TVEMS and LCSO responded to a medical call for back pain on Colorado Avenue. The patient was not transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a fuel leak in the parking lot of Hays Market. The crew cleaned up a small fuel spill.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a possible stroke on Horseshoe Circle. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a patient concern at Berthoud Living Center.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on 7th Street for abdominal pain.

Monday, October 5

BFPD responded to a report of a minor oil spill on the roadway at the intersection of N. Highway 287 and W. LCR 8. The fire crew cleaned up the spill and then cleared the scene.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a report of an elderly male who had fallen and needed assistance getting up from the floor. The crew assisted the man in getting up.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a report of an injured football player at Berthoud High School ball field. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on 2nd Street. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, October 6

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for breathing difficulties on Welch Avenue. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a single-family structure fire on W. County Road 8E. The crew found a residential home with smoke coming from the chimney with no other signs of fire. After searching the home, the crew found flames coming from the top of the chimney. The crew extinguished the flames in the chimney and double-checked for any fire extension in the rest of the structure.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Maureen Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for breathing difficulties on 2nd Street.

Wednesday, October 7

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at the Berthoud Living Center.

BFPD received a call from a homeowner on Aspen Drive requesting our assistance in checking a CO monitor. The crew searched the home with the monitor and found no readings of carbon monoxide. The homeowner was advised to contact a plumber to correct an issue with the water heater possibly causing the CO monitor to alert.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a juvenile football player at Turner Middle School reporting a bee sting causing a reaction. The patient was transported following the parent’s arrival.

BFPD responded to a report of a vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mm 252. The crew was unable to locate an accident.

Thursday, October 8

BFPD and TVEMS assisted a citizen on Welch Avenue who had fallen. The patient was uninjured and refused medical attention.

BFPD and TVEMS assisted a patient on 4th Street who had fallen and needed help being lifted back into his chair.

BFPD assisted a homeowner on Gateway Park Drive with changing smoke detector batteries in their residence.

BFPD assisted a homeowner on 14th Street with changing batteries in their smoke detectors.

Friday, October 9

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Wilfred Road.

BFPD responded to a commercial fire alarm on 1st Street. This was a false alarm. The fire crew reset the alarm.

BFPD responded to a report of an illegal burn on Keep Circle. The fire crew found a homeowner burning in the fire pit in their backyard. The fire crew explained the burn permit policy and what was legal to burn.

Saturday, October 10

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for abdominal problems on 6th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at MM 251. This was a two-vehicle rollover accident with moderate damage to both vehicles. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to multiple motor vehicle accidents on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. Three separate two-car accidents were found. All were non-injury.

BFPD responded to a grass fire in Loveland Fire’s district. This was a controlled burn.

BFPD responded to a reported grass fire near WCR 8E and County Road 23E. The fire crew found a large unauthorized bonfire. The fire crew extinguished the fire. The property owner was informed of the burn permit policy and what is legal to burn.

Sunday, October 11

BFPD responded to a report of power lines down in the area of WCR 7 and WCR 38. The crew found a service line that was hanging down low across WCR 7 because the power pole had snapped at the base due to high winds. The road was shut down and traffic was diverted. United Power responded to secure power and cut down the line.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, October 13

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for breathing difficulties on Second Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a call from an alarm company for a patient who had fallen on Gaucho Court. The patient needed assistance getting up and it was verified that there were no injuries due to the fall.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a possible stroke on Second Street.

Wednesday, October 14

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a report of an elderly male who had fallen on Second Street. The patient was transported.

Thursday, October 15

BFPD and TVEMS assisted a patient who had fallen on 4th Street. The crew assisted the patient from the floor into their chair.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a possible stroke on Second Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a three-vehicle accident on Highway 56 and WCR 5. The vehicles sustained moderate to heavy damage. There were no injuries reported.

Friday, October 16

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 249. This was a non-injury accident.

BFPD responded to a report of gas inside a structure on Second Street. The fire crew checked for CO with the monitor and was unable to find a reading.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for breathing difficulties at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

Saturday, October 17

BFPD responded with TVEMS to Berthoud Living Center for diabetic complications. The patient was treated at the center.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Second Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD, TVEMS and LCSO responded to a medical call on Second Street. The patient refused medical care.

BFPD responded to a report of a grass fire on N. CR 23E. The crew found an approximate 2 acre grass fire with structures threatened. The fire was extinguished and the crew was successful at keeping the fire from the structures.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 252. This was a two-car accident with minor damage. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Second Street for a fall victim. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to Berthoud Living Center for a medical call. The patient was treated on scene.

Sunday, October 18

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on W. County Road 12. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Vaquero Street, for a fall with a probable fracture. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for possible seizures at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Second Street.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a motorcycle accident on LCR 31 near Carter Lake. A single rider was found lying next to a motorcycle with an apparent broken ankle. The patient was transported.

Monday, October 19

BFPD responded to a structure fire on Hollyberry Street. The fire crew found a small fire on the porch that had extended up the exterior wall. The homeowner was found extinguishing the fire with a garden hose. The fire crew searched the interior for extension and found a small hot spot that was extinguished. All areas of the structure were investigated for further damage.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and Berthoud Police to a medical call on Hollyberry Street.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for a possible stroke at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

BFPD, TVEMS and LCSO were called to a medical alarm at Snap Fitness on 9th Street. The fire crew was unable to enter the business as all the doors were locked. The crew forced entry into the building and found the building empty. This was determined to be a false alarm.

Tuesday, October 20

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on 2nd Street.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a laceration to the hand on 1st Street.

Wednesday, October 21

BFPD responded to a medical call for back pain on Jefferson Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on 6th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on 4th Street for a person who had fallen and needed assistance getting up off the floor.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Wild Wing Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a gas odor outside of a home on 5th Street. The homeowner reported smelling a gas odor for a few days. The fire crew investigated and found the source to be coming from a propane barbeque grill.

BFPD responded to a medical call for seizures on Martingale Drive. The patient care was transferred to TVEMS upon their arrival.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a report of a male patient who had fallen on Yellowstone Road. The patient was found outside on the ground unable to get up. The patient was evaluated and was transported.

Thursday, October 22

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on 4th Street.

 

Friday, October 23

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on 4th Street.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a toddler who had fallen from his bed on Glen Drive.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical request for transfer to a hospital for a patient on 2nd Street.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for an unconscious patient at Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported emergent.

Saturday, October 24

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center for a patient who had fallen from his bed and was experiencing pain in his hip. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted a homeowner on Indiana Avenue with their smoke detectors.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Wild Wing Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a fire in the area of Highway 287 and County Road 17. The crew was unable to locate a fire.

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mm 253. A single vehicle was found with moderate damage. There were no reported injuries.

Sunday, October 25

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a three-wheeler accident on LCR 21. Two persons were injured when the ATV ran into a fence. One patient was transported.

Monday, October 26

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on West Hill Drive. This was a response to a medical life alert. Upon arrival this was determined to be a false alarm.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Thundering Peaks Drive. The patient was transported.

Tuesday, October 27

BFPD responded to a medical alarm call on 2nd Street. This was an accidental activation.

Wednesday, October 28

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on 3rd Street. This was a non-injury accident.

BFPD responded to a report of a cut gas line on Gentlewind Way. The crew found Xcel personnel on scene and they were clamping the gas leak.

BFPD responded with Mountain View Fire and Weld County Sheriff’s officer to a medical call on WCR 38 and WCR 5. The patient was deceased upon arrival.

Thursday, October 29

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at Berthoud Living Center.

BFPD responded to a report of possible contaminated hazardous materials causing concern for hazards in the air on 2nd Street. The fire crew searched the area and all findings were negative.

BFPD responded to a report of a grass fire threatening structures on Arleigh Drive. The crew found a fire being attended to by a homeowner. The responsible party was advised of the burn permit policy for any future burns.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for heart problems on WCR 40 ½. The patient was transported.

Friday, October 30

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on Legacy Heights Drive. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250, moderate damage to one vehicle was fond and no injuries reported. One vehicle fled the scene. The incident was handed over to CSP.

BFPD responded to a medical call for a fall victim on 4th Street. The crew assisted TVEMS with lifting the patient into his bed.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on 8th Street for a laceration due to an altercation. The patient refused treatment.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person who had fallen on East Colorado Avenue. The individual was found lying in the rocks in the front of her house. The patient was transported.

Saturday, October 31

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on CR 13. The patient was transported.

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call on 6th Street. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to an outside smoke investigation on E. Turner Avenue. The crew investigated the area and found the smoke to be coming from a barbeque grill.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on W. CR 10E.

BFPD assisted TVEMS for a medical call on Capital Avenue for a toddler with breathing difficulties.
