Incident Activity October 1-7

Monday, October 1

BFPD responded to the 500 block of Redwood Circle for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the patient was loaded for transport to a local hospital.

BFPD was dispatched to the 200 block of 2nd Street for a lift assist.

Berthoud Fire responded to the 21000 block of Weld Cty Road 3 for back pain. TVEMS assumed patient care, the crew assisted with loading of the patient.

Tuesday, October 2

BFPD was dispatched to the 300 block of Michigan Avenue for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care, the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Wednesday, October 3

BFPD responded to Berthoud High School for a medical. TVEMS arrived and transported the patient to a local hospital.

BFPD responded to the 2100 block of Shoreside for a 47-year-old female having seizures. The crew assisted with packaging and loading of the patient for transport.

Berthoud Squad 11 was dispatched to the 700 block of 13th Street for a 66-year-old male, not feeling right. TVEMS arrived and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Thursday, October 4

BFPD responded to the 6000 block of Larimer Cty Road 12 for a possible stroke. TVEMS arrived and assumed patient care. TVEMS transported to a local hospital.

Friday, October 5

Citizen assist in the 1000 block of Mt. Meeker Avenue for a smoke detector that needed new batteries. The homeowner contacted Station 1 and said she couldn’t change them because of her vaulted ceilings. Squad 11 arrived on scene and changed the batteries then tested the system.

BFPD responded to the 300 block of E. Michigan for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the patient was then loaded for transport.

Berthoud Fire was dispatched to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

BFPD responded to the 1800 block of W. Larimer Cty Road 6, for a 3-year-old female that was kicked in the face by a horse. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with packaging the patient for transport.

Berthoud Squad 11 responded to the 800 block of 10th Street for a fall victim. They found the patient in the driveway with a possible broken hip. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Monday, October 8

Citizen assist for a car-seat installation at Station 2.

Berthoud Squad 11 responded to the 17000 block of Weld Cty Road 3 for a 74-year-old woman who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted in lifting the patient.

Tuesday, October 9

Citizen assist in the 100 block of 2nd Street SE for a smoke detector installed on a high ceiling.

Citizen assist for a car-seat installation at Station 1.

BFPD was dispatched to the 3800 block of Hwy 56 for back pain. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Berthoud Squad 11 responded to the intersection of Lake Avenue and 3rd Street. The crew found the patient lying in the yard, bystanders stated that he was riding his bike and fell. TVEMS assumed patient care.

Wednesday, October 10

BFPD responded to the 1300 block of Murrlet Street for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Thursday, October 11

Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

BFPD was dispatched to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

Friday, October 12

BFPD responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

BFPD responded to the 800 block of Bunyan Avenue for a lift assist.

BFPD was dispatched to the 2000 block of Blue Mountain Avenue for a fall victim. TVEMS assumed patient care, the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Berthoud Engine 2 responded to Larimer Cty Road 23 for a single vehicle vs an elk. The vehicle had minor damage, with all parties out and no injuries.

Saturday, October 13

BFPD was dispatched to the 2000 block of Sheryln Court for a 94-year-old woman who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with transport to a local hospital.

BFPD responded to the 2100 block of Elmwood Street for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Berthoud Squad 11 responded to the 3400 block of Celestial Drive for a 64-year-old man having chest pains. TVEMS assumed patient care and the patient was transported to a local hospital.

Sunday, October 14

Berthoud Squad 11 responded to the 900 block of Wilshire Drive for a 4-year-old having a seizure. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

BFPD responded to the 500 block of Capital Reef Street for a 7-year-old boy having an allergic reaction TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient.

Incident Activity October 15 – 21

Monday, October 15

BFPD responded to the Berthoud High School for a 45-year-old male having chest pains. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient.

BFPD responded to 2nd Street and Mountain Avenue for an 80-year-old woman who had fallen. TVEMS arrived and command was transferred. The patient was loaded and taken to a local hospital.

BFPD was dispatched to the 700 block of 4th Street for a 55-year-old man who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Tuesday, October 16

BFPD responded to the 1000 block of S Cty Road 15 for a 71-year-old man not feeling well. With the assistance of the crew, the man was loaded into a friend’s truck and was transported to a local hospital.

Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

Wednesday, October 17

BFPD was dispatched to the 6000 block of Kiva Ridge Road for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Thursday, October 18

Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical.

Berthoud Engine 1 assisted a homeowner in the 1000 block of Gateway Drive, with replacing batteries in their smoke detectors.

Saturday, October 20

BFPD responded to a structure fire in the 4000 block of Karen Court. A portion of the attic was showing heavy fire. The Loveland crew went interior and pulled down the ceiling to help combat the attic involvement. Once the fire was knocked down, the fire was under investigation. Read more [1]

Sunday, October 21

BFPD was dispatched to the 600 block of 9th Street for a 72-year-old woman who had fallen down the stairs. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

BFPD responded to the 300 block of E. Colorado Avenue for a sick person. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport. Scene was then turned over to Larimer County Sheriff.

Incident Activity October 22-28

Monday, October 22

Citizen assist in the 200 block of 2nd Street to change batteries in the CO and smoke detectors. All the batteries were changed, and the detectors were checked.

Tuesday, October 23

BFPD responded to the 4000 block of Arleigh Court for a cut gas line. A backhoe was parked at the end of the driveway next to a hole. The homeowner said he had struck the gas line, he clamped the line with pipe straps to slow the leak. Xcel Energy arrived and clamped and secured the line. Scene was turned over to Xcel.

BFPD responded to the 2000 block of Blue Mountain Avenue for a 78-year-old woman feeling dizzy. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Wednesday, October 24

BFPD was dispatched to the 600 block of 6th Street for an 83-year-old woman not feeling well. The crew assisted TVEMS with loading of the patient for transport.

BFPD was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Nebraska for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Thursday, October 25

BFPD assisted a homeowner in the 300 block of Victoria Street with the installation of a smoke detector.

Friday, October 26

BFPD were requested to escort the Berthoud High School cross country team on their way to the state competition. The crew was met by the coach and Larimer Cty Sheriff and then participated in the convoy to the Interstate.

Saturday, October 27

BFPD was dispatched to the 900 block of 5th Street along with TVEMS to assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

BFPD responded to I-25 mm 248 SB for a 2- car rear end type collision with light damage and no injuries. Engine 1 staged for traffic control and TVEMS was cancelled.

BFPD responded to the intersection of Weld Cty Road 3 and Hwy 56 for a 2-vehicle T-bone type collision with moderate damage. Larimer Cty Sheriff requested that the crew shut down Hwy 56 to all traffic while treating the patient and investigating the crash. One patient was transported.

Sunday, October 28

BFPD was dispatched to the 600 block of Wilfred Road for a fall victim. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

 

Incident Activity October. 29-31

Monday, October 29

BFPD responded to a medical along with TVEMS in the 4000 block of Garfield Avenue. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

BFPD was dispatched to the 1000 block of Oak Drive for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care, the patient was loaded and taken to a local hospital.

Berthoud Fire responded to the 100 block of Turner Avenue for a 78-year-old man having chest pains. The crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport to a local hospital.

Citizen assist with changing out the batteries in smoke detectors in the 100 block of Indiana Avenue. The crew changed the batteries in 6 smoke detectors and 1 carbon monoxide detector.

BFPD was dispatched to the 500 block of Mountain Avenue for a 27-year-old woman having abdominal and chest pain. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

Berthoud Fire responded to the 200 block of Sioux Drive for a 67-year-old man having breathing problems. TVEMS assumed patient care and the patient was then loaded for transport.

BFPD responded to the 4000 block of Mountain View Court for a cut gas line. Excel Energy had been notified and was on their way. The crew began air monitoring and had the occupant evacuate the house. Excel clamped the cut gas line and command was terminated.

Tuesday, October 30

BFPD responded to the 600 block of Torreys Peak Lane for an 83-year-old man having chest pains. TVEMS assumed patient care and the crew assisted with loading of the patient for transport.

BFPD and TVEMS were requested for emergency medical services on S. 9th Street. TVEMS assumed medical care of the patient with assistance from Berthoud Firefighters. The patient was transported, and command was terminated.

BFPD responded to Hwy 287 for a male patient requesting emergency medical services. Engine 1 set up to block the #2 lane of NB traffic, while TVEMS moved the patient. The patient requested transport to a local hospital.

Wednesday, October 31

BFPD responded to the intersection of Cty Road 8 and Cty Road 21 for a 2- vehicle accident with heavy damage. Upon arrival found 1 vehicle on its side with an 18-year-old male ejected. The crew assisted TVEMS with the patient, while another crew did hazard mitigation and traffic control. Colorado State Patrol arrived and began their investigation. The tow trucks were able to get both vehicles loaded with the help of the fire crew.
