Tuesday, September 2

BFPD responded to a report of a gas leak in the 1500 Block of Alpine Avenue. Xcel Energy was contacted and the fire crew assisted in clamping the line to stop the leak.

BFPD responded to a report of a smoke odor in the 1400 Block of Maple Drive. The fire crew used their thermal imaging camera to search for heat within the home without finding any source.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call in the 1600 Block of 4th Street. One patient was transported.

Thursday, September 4

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call at Berthoud Living Center. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a report of a smoke odor in the 23000 Block of County Line Road. The fire crew found a pile of smoldering weeds and branches. The fire was legal as long as it was out by dark.

Friday, September 5

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for abdominal pain in the 800 Block of Bruce Drive. One person was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a call on County Road 17 and HWY 287 for a patient whose tongue was swelling and causing breathing difficulties. The person was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO (Larimer County Sheriff’s Office) for a medical call in the 400 Block of Colorado Avenue.

BFPD responded to an outside gas leak for a cut gas line in the 1500 Block of Glacier Avenue. The fire crew blocked the road until Excel came to clamp the line.

BFPD responded with Johnstown Fire to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 at mile marker 251.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and CSP (Colorado State Patrol) to a motor vehicle accident on I-25 at mile marker 253. Three vehicles were involved with no injuries.

Saturday, September 6

BFPD responded to a cut water line in the 1600 Block of Glacier Avenue. The water department could not be reached so the fire crew located a valve and it was shut down, stopping the leak in the yard.

Sunday, September 7

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to a medical call in the 200 Block of 2nd Street. One patient was transported.

BFPD covered the Loveland Fire Station 1 while Loveland Fire responded to a structure fire.

Monday, September 8

BFPD responded to a report of an unattended campfire at Carter Lake. One fire pit had hot coals in it and the fire crew extinguished the coals.

BFPD responded to a medical call, along with TVEMS, for a sick person in the 1000 Block of County Road 17. One patient was transported.

Tuesday, September 9

BFPD responded to a medical call, along with TVEMS, for falls in the 1300 Block of 4th Street. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call, along with TVEMS, for falls in the 1900 Block of 1st Street. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call, along with TVEMS, in the 2000 Block of County Road 4. One patient was transported.

Wednesday, September 10

BFPD responded to a medical call, along with TVEMS, for seizures at the intersection of County Road 8 and County Road 23. One patient was transported.

Thursday, September 11

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO (Larimer County Sheriff’s Office) to a medical in the 800 Block of 10th Street.

BPFD responded to a woman’s request of assistance with the power in her home in the 1500 Block of County Road 17. The fire crew restored the citizen’s service and encouraged them to have an electrician come look at the house.

BFPD responded to a walk-in call at Station 1 for assistance in removing a ring from the patient’s finger.

Friday, September 12

BFPD responded to a citizen assist to check a CO detector in the 1500 Block of County Road 17. The detector was more than ten years old and needed to be replaced. In the meantime, the fire crew replaced the batteries.

BFPD responded to a citizen assist to replace smoke detector batteries in the 100 Block of Victoria Drive.

BFPD responded to a medical call, along with TVEMS, for an allergic reaction at the intersection of Mountain Avenue and 5th Street. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a citizen assist to check out a furnace that had just been lit for the year in the 500 Block of Redwood Circle.

Saturday, September 13

BFPD responded to a medical call, along with TVEMS, in the 1600 Block of 4th Street.

BFPD responded for a citizen assist to replace smoke detector batteries in the 200 Block of Colorado Avenue. The fire crew also helped reprogram the thermostat.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to a medical call in the 300 Block of Indiana Avenue.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and LCSO to a medical call in the 500 Block of 9th Street. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a call, along with TVEMS, for traumatic injuries at Berthoud High School. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS and Larimer County Park Rangers to a motorcycle accident across from the Carter Lake Swim Beach. One patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a call, along with TVEMS, for traumatic injuries at Berthoud High School. One patient was transported.

Sunday, September 14

BFPD responded to a call, along with TVEMS, for traumatic injuries at Berthoud High School.

 Monday, September 15

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call at Berthoud High School for a reported overheated football player. BFPD assisted in patient care. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call, along with TVEMS, to Berthoud living Center. Patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a medical call, along with TVEMS in the 800 block of Longview Ave, upon arrival the patient was conscious, breathing and alert.

Tuesday, September 16

BFPD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Hwy 287; No injuries were found. BFPD remained on scene until LCSO arrived.

Wednesday, September 17

BFPD responded to a medical call in the 200 block of 2nd Street. BFPD assumed patient care until the arrival of TVEMS. Patient was advised to see a doctor.

BFPD responded to a medical call in the 1800 block of Sheehan Dr. The Police were attending a male patient. BFPD assisted TVEMS, both with patient assessment and the transportation of the patient.

Thursday, September 18

BFPD were dispatched to 4th Street and Bunyan Avenue for a medical call. The call was cancelled upon arrival.

Friday, September 19

BFPD responded to an outside odor investigation of Natural Gas. Xcel was on scene and had turned the meter off. BFPD assisted in ventilating the house.

BFPD did standby at the Berthoud High School football game. During that time the crew assisted with a minor medical incident and was called to investigate smoke in the concession stand. The cause of smoke was found to be coming from the hot water heater and several wires were charred and burnt. They were advised to secure the power until it could be repaired.

Saturday, September 20

BFPD responded to a medical call near Pyramid Peaks at the request of the Police Dept. BFPD began patient care. Upon arrival of TVEMS patient care was transferred to them.

Sunday, September 21

BFPD responded to 15000 N. 115th Street for a vehicle accident. A single vehicle rollover with heavy damage was discovered. The vehicle was abandoned; the area was checked for occupants that may have been ejected. None were located. BFPD remained on scene providing lighting until tow truck secured the vehicle.

BFPD was dispatched to the 8000 block of Cottontail Rd. for a grass fire. Cancelled en- route.

BFPD responded to MM249 I-25 for a medical call. BFPD assisted TVEMS with patient care. Patient was transported.

Monday, September 22

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 at MM252. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded to a report of suspected carbon monoxide in a residence on Glenview Drive. The fire crew investigated and did not find any levels of CO in the home.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Fourth Street and Mountain Avenue. The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted TVEMS and LCSO with a medical call on Fourth Street.

Tuesday, September 23

BFPD responded to a medical call for a resident with chest pain at the Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.

Wednesday, September 24

BFPD and TVEMS responded to a medical call for an injury due to a fall on Ninth Street. The patient was transported.

Thursday, September 25

BFPD responded to a single vehicle accident on Interstate 25. There were no injuries reported.

Friday, September 26

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call for a person with diabetic problems on Bristlecone Court. The individual was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for cardiac arrest on Fourth Street. The patient was deceased.

BFPD responded to a three-car accident on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. There were no injuries reported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on Third Street for a male who had fainted.

Saturday, September 27

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call at the Berthoud Living Center for a diabetic problem.

BFPD assisted LCSO with a citizen assist on Third Street.

BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Second Street.

BFPD responded to an odor investigation in the area of County Road 21 and Sundown Court. The crew found a resident who was burning without a permit. The homeowner extinguished the fire and was told how to obtain a permit.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call on County Road 8. The patient was transported.

Sunday, September 28

BFPD responded to a motorcycle accident on County Road 8E and County Road 23. A female was injured and transported.

BFPD responded to a motorcycle accident at the Valley Dirt Rider track. A male rider was found with a possible fracture. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a person with breathing difficulties on Second Street. The patient was assessed and was not transported.

BFPD responded with TVEMS to a medical call for a person with breathing problems on Welch Avenue. The patient was transported.
