Berthoud Fire to host 9/11 Memorial Ceremony

September 11, 2011, 9 a.m to 2 p.m.

The Berthoud Fire Protection District will host a special memorial ceremony, open house, and picnic to honor the lives of those who fell on September 11, 2001.

At no cost to those who attend, the fire department will conduct a memorial ceremony from 9 a.m.-10 a.m.; an “open house” of the fire department from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. and a community cookout from 12 p.m. -2 p.m.

During the open house, the community can take part in the “Touch a Truck Event” where they can get up close to emergency services vehicles like fire trucks, an ambulance, police vehicles, and hopefully military trucks as well! Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and soda will be available for all to enjoy!

Please help us make this a wonderful memorial and join us in this remembrance of those who sacrificed.

To ensure we plan enough meals for all who attend, please RSVP to Chloe McKinley at the fire department at 970-532-2264 extension 310.
