Prickly Poppy, Watercolor by Constance Sayas-Argemone

While the regional botanical artist group, Studio Botanica, is comprised of artists classically trained in botanical art and illustration, each interprets the world of plants from a unique point of view. As a group, it is the subject matter that forms the bond among the artists. Since 2002, Studio Botanica artists have merged their varied styles and media to create dynamic exhibits to inform, educate and celebrate plant life. Mediums that will be represented in this exhibit include oil, pen and ink, colored pencil, etching and watercolor. Through a subject that straddles the scientific and the artistic, this exhibit celebrates the tradition, yet stretches the boundaries of botanical art.

Artist demonstrations will be held in the Foote Gallery/Auditorium throughout the exhibition. These demonstrations are free and open to the public. Schedule:
