Business Briefs: Free Identity Theft Prevention Class

Learn how to deter, detect, and defend against identity theft. People whose identities have been stolen can spend months or years — and thousands of dollars — cleaning up the mess from identity theft. This class will be taught by Teri Slater of MoneySense Finance Health Center.

In addition, Apex Shredding will have their state-of-the-art mobile shredding unit on site to destroy your information as a fundraiser ($5/box or bag). This event will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2009, with the free Identity Theft Class taking place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Shredding will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Longmont, 455 Weaver Park Road.

Please contact Tara Nichols at (303) 776-3334 or at TNichols@StVrainHfH.org. More info online at www.ApexShreddingInc.com.
