Town Board: Vote yes on Aims

By Sandy BarnesBerthoud RecorderThe Board of Trustees passed a resolution encouraging citizens to vote “yes” for inclusion in the Aims Community College tax district at the Tuesday, Oct. 13, meeting. If the measure passes in the mail-in election, residents will pay a 6.299 mill levy, which will equate to approximately $100 a year for a $200,000 home. Berthoud‐area resident and Thompson R2J School Board member Karen Stockley filed paperwork Thursday seeking to represent Colorado House District 49. She is hoping to unseat current State Rep. B.J. Berthoud Police Dept. Helps Out Pet Owners

By Gary Wamsley Berthoud Recorder In an effort to provide better customer service to the community, the Berthoud Police Department has acquired a new dog kennel. The new kennel consists of two 5’x10’ runs which will allow dogs to be kept overnight. Until now, the department could only hold an animal until 5 p.m. and then had to turn it over to the Larimer Humane Society.
