Berthoud board extends medical marijuana moritorium

Berthoud Board of Trustees had a full agenda for the June 15 meeting. Medical marijuana was eleventh on the agenda, but two business asked to speak during the Citizen Participation. Both wanted to be exempted from the moratorium and be allowed to open for business before July 1. Both had obtained a town sales tax license before the moratorium went into effect. Meningitis outbreak in Larimer County

The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment is investigating several cases of meningococcal disease that have occurred over the past two weeks in Fort Collins, resulting in one death. Three cases have been confirmed as invasive meningococcal infections. Test results are still pending on one case with symptoms of bacterial meningitis. River Flooding Prompts Greeley Public Works to Close 35th Avenue & Poudre River Trail. The Cache La Poudre River through Greeley continues to run at or near flood stage due to rain and snowmelt. As a result, Greeley’s public works department has now added 35th Avenue between F Street and O Street to the list of closed streets. DATE: June 14, 2010 Larimer County: In a press conference today, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office Investigators announced they have closed two cold case files from the 1980's. The body of Orma B. Smith, 02/29/1888, of Longmont, was found on July 9, 1982, in a stream three miles east of Big Elk Meadows with multiple stab wounds. John Agrue, 09/11/1947, was considered a suspect at that time but no charges were filed. In 1966, Agrue pled guilty in Will County, Illinois, to the murder of his ... Full Story

I figured that God would let me know when it was time to quit. Now is the time,” Sommers said. Her tenure of 45 years has allowed Sommers to see church history in the making. A reported trespass in progress at Berthoud Elementary School was juveniles on the roof retrieving a ball. Their parents were present and supervising. Beginning June 7 the new FLEX bus service will link Berthoud with Fort Collins, Loveland and the Longmont Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) bus connections to downtown Denver and Boulder.
