LATEST INFORMATION This will be the last daily flood update as operations enter the recovery phase; however, we will continue to publish information as needed. The National Guard completed their assignments in Larimer County as of today.  The checkpoints they have been staffing were turned over to the Sheriff's office.  Checkpoints will be staffed by deputies and/or there will be active patrols in the area.  The Sheriff's office extends their thanks and gratitude to the National Guard for ...   September 26, 2013 The Larimer County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the City of Fort Collins is providing residents of Storm Mountain access to Power Line Trail via the Bobcat Ridge Natural Area.  This area will only be accessible with specialized vehicles designed to handle the extremely rough terrain or by horseback or hiking in. Larimer Sheriff: Sept 18 Flood Update

  Favorable weather allowed for targeted rescue operations yesterday out the areas of Storm Mountain, Glen Haven at The Retreat, Fish Creek, Idlewild, Waltonia and Pinewood Springs.  81 people were rescued by air and another 33 rescued by ground crews, for a total number of 114 rescued on September 17th.  Rescue operations remain a top priority; however, we are now gradually transitioning into an assessment/recovery mode for long term planning.  Weather today is expected to be good ...
