Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident activity for July 2013 Monday, July 1 BFPD responded to a reported grass fire on North County Road 15C. The fire crew found a pile of burning mattresses and the responsible party extinguishing the fire. The fire crew explained the burn ban that is in affect and that burning mattresses is illegal.  Colin Davies has been located in the Denver Metro area and is being treated at an area hospital.  Thank you for your assistance. Weld County Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives are currently working an incident involving a missing at risk adult. At approximately 4:00 am today, Colin Davies left his residence near the intersections of Weld County Roads 54 & 51. Missing man found

Kyle Mark, the 29-year-old developmentally delayed man, who went missing Wednesday night has been found.  Mr. Mark was found last night about 9:00 p.m. unharmed and is now back with his caregiver.  The Larimer County Sheriff's Office extends its thanks to the public for helping to look for the man.

  Missing Developmentally Delayed Adult Date:               08/01/2013 The Larimer County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating a 28 year-old man with developmental delays. KYLE ADAM MARK (03/12/1984) left his host home in the 4800-block of West County Road 56 at approximately 7:00 p.m. yesterday evening and has not been seen since this time. A recent case in Larimer County has Sheriff Justin Smith encouraging parents to speak to their children about the dangers of "sexting" and sharing inappropriate pictures on the Internet. Parents should make a point of examining cell phones, tablets and computers on a regular basis for any signs of this type of activity and closely monitor a child's computer use. Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident activity for June 2013 Saturday, June 1 BFPD responded to a reported grass fire on Meadowlark Dr. This was a controlled ditch burn but due to the wind the fire was getting out of control. Berthoud Memories on 95th Birthday Lucille Buehler Dorman will celebrate her 95th birthday on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Lucille, a second generation Berthoud native, was born 95 years ago on the family farm east of Berthoud. Her parents were Walter and Dora (Davis) Buehler. She was the oldest of four daughters.
