Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident activity for June 2013 Saturday, June 1 BFPD responded to a reported grass fire on Meadowlark Dr. This was a controlled ditch burn but due to the wind the fire was getting out of control. The fire crew assisted with extinguishing the fire. BFPD responded to a diesel fuel leak on East Indiana Ave. The crew stopped the leak in the truck and contacted the owner. Lucille Dorman celebrates 95th

Berthoud Memories on 95th Birthday Lucille Buehler Dorman will celebrate her 95th birthday on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Lucille, a second generation Berthoud native, was born 95 years ago on the family farm east of Berthoud. Her parents were Walter and Dora (Davis) Buehler. She was the oldest of four daughters. Lucille attended a one-room school house through 8th grade then transferred to Berthoud High School. She graduated in 1936 and was the first in her family to graduate from high school. ... When the crew arrived they found a detached garage fully involved in flames. The fire was extinguished and the investigation completed. Larimer County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) personnel responded to the area of Cherokee Park Road and Cherokee Trail Road, a rural area northwest of Fort Collins near Red Feather Lakes, earlier today on the report of a neighbor dispute. Premier Gymnast, Bailie Holst wins medal at Junior Olympic National Championships By Julee Graham The 2013 Level 10 Junior Olympic National Championships consists gymnasts from all the Regions in the United States.
