    2012 Xtreme Altitude Fall Classic By Julee Graham Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies had their final meet of the compulsory season before the Colorado State Championships. Xtreme Altitude Gymnastics hosted the “2012 Xtreme Altitude Fall Classic” on November 17 and 18. First Light   The Little Thompson Observatory (LTO) in Berthoud, is proud to announce that it acquired First Light through its historic 24” (610 mm) Telescope on Friday, November 16. The first objects viewed were the Pleiades Star Cluster and the Andromeda Galaxy. A team of dedicated volunteers has been working diligently over the past five years to make this event possible.   Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies Level 4 and 5 Teams both placed third at the Judges Cup 2012. The 5280 club in Wheatridge hosted this meet on October 13 and 14. Firestone man pleads guilty to poisoning neighbor’s dogs

  GREELEY, Colo. – Today in Weld County District Court, Joseph Losinski (DOB 5/13/39) pleaded guilty to poisoning and killing his neighbor’s two dogs. Losinski pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated cruelty to animals, a class-six felony, and one count of intimidating a victim or witness, a class-four felony. Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident activity for September 2012 Sunday, September 2 BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Road 13 and 42nd St. SW. This was a two-vehicle accident with heavy damage to one of the vehicles, minor damage to the other. There were no reported injuries.
