Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident reports for August 2014 Friday, August 1 BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Fifth Street. BFPD responded with Johnstown Fire to a grass fire in the area of mile marker 252, northbound lane of Interstate 25. The crew found a 200’X 200’ grass fire. Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident reports for July 2014   Wednesday, July 2 BFPD responded to a reported vehicle fire on Interstate 25 at mile marker 250. The crew found a vehicle with a broken radiator hose. After verifying there were no hazards, the fire crew cleared the scene. Swim Team makes a big splash in the 2014 Swim-A-Thon fundraiser for HNS By Krista Markell Photo by Jill Strait On a beautiful Wednesday morning in June, the Berthoud Recreation Sharks Swim Team held their 5th Annual Swim-A-Thon fundraiser. Incident Reports, July 2014 Sunday, June 1 BFPD responded to a reported outside gas leak from a cut line on Martingale Drive. The homeowner had accidentally cut a line with a shovel. Xcel was notified and arrived to repair the line. Monday, June 2 BFPD responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in a residence on SW 49th St. The fire crew did not find any trace of CO on the detector.
