Incident Reports, July 2014 Sunday, June 1 BFPD responded to a reported outside gas leak from a cut line on Martingale Drive. The homeowner had accidentally cut a line with a shovel. Xcel was notified and arrived to repair the line. Monday, June 2 BFPD responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in a residence on SW 49th St. The fire crew did not find any trace of CO on the detector. Black Lab went missing from Berthoud Estates on 5/25 between 10:00am and 4:30pm. He is wearing identification, but nobody has called. Signs have also been placed around the area.He is extremely skinny, and I am worried that someone has found him and decided that his owners don't deserve to have him because of his current condition. Betty Helen (Ferry) Bashor, 91, of Berthoud, passed away at the Lemay Long Term Care Center in Fort Collins on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Betty was born in Spokane, Washington on June 4, 1922 to Mildred (Cramer) Ferry and Frank V. Ferry. Betty was married to E. Eugene “Gene” Bashor for 68 years. They made their home farming in the Berthoud/Johnstown area until 1977 when they retired to Berthoud. Gene preceded her in death in July of 2010. Poudre River Incident - Second Death Date:               5/27/2014 What began around mid-day in the Poudre Canyon in Larimer County as a search and rescue attempt for a 14-year old boy; has ended in two deaths. The family that has lost these two young men today resides in the Greeley area. Authorities were called to the Poudre Canyon around twelve miles west of Ted's Place shortly after noon. Incident Activity for April 2014 Tuesday, April 1 BFPD assisted TVEMS with a medical call on Second St. BFPD responded to a residential alarm on N. Larimer County Road 23. Upon arrival to the residence the homeowner explained there was an unknown alarm sounding in the crawl space. The crew searched and located a propane leak detector on the boiler that was in alarm.
