Scout Food Drive February 26, 2011 It is time for the annual Scouting for Food drive. In Southern Larimer County the food collected goes to the House of Neighborly Service for distribution to families in our area. Local Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts  will be in Berthoud neighborhoods to collect food for local families in need on Saturday February 26. Marie Elise Andrade Allison was selected as Berthoud High School’s recipient of Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award for 2011. The Namaqua Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) presented awards to several area students at its February 9 Student Recognition Tea. February 24 Coloradans Needing Help with Federal Agencies are Invited to Come by A representative of Senator Mark Udall’s office will hold office hours in Berthoud on Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Udall’s Constituent Services Advocate, Bryan VanDriel, will be available to answer questions and help Coloradans who need assistance with issues involving federal agencies. BFPD responded to a carbon dioxide alarm on Iowa Avenue. Sensors were used to check the residence and no carbon dioxide was detected in the residence. By Thomas N. Berthoud’s Turner Middle School sent four students to compete in the district spelling bee last Saturday at Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland. These students coached by Colleen Bowker, were Hannah Stippich, Karsten Bump, Ken Kubik and Olivia Conde.
