BFPD responded to a carbon dioxide alarm on Iowa Avenue. Sensors were used to check the residence and no carbon dioxide was detected in the residence. By Thomas N. Berthoud’s Turner Middle School sent four students to compete in the district spelling bee last Saturday at Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland. These students coached by Colleen Bowker, were Hannah Stippich, Karsten Bump, Ken Kubik and Olivia Conde. Three of these students placed in the top four; Hanna Stippich tied for fourth place, Olivia Conde received third place, and Ken Kubik placed second. Ivy Stockwell Elementary Takes Third at District Spelling Bee

By Thomas N. Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland was the grounds of an epic battle of words known as: The Thompson School District Elementary Spelling Bee. The bee was separated into two sections; a written exam of 50 words and an oral round. January 29, 2011 At approximately 3:30 PM Larimer County Sheriff's Dispatch was notified of a small glider crash near mile marker 284 west of I -25.  LCSO Deputies responded and were assisted by the Colorado State Highway Patrol and Wellington Fire also responded as a precaution.
