Turner Takes Two Trophies at District Spelling Bee
By Thomas N. Berthoud’s Turner Middle School sent four students to compete in the district spelling bee last Saturday at Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland. These students coached by Colleen Bowker, were Hannah Stippich, Karsten Bump, Ken Kubik and Olivia Conde. Three of these students placed in the top four; Hanna Stippich tied for fourth place, Olivia Conde received third place, and Ken Kubik placed second. Eagles, Jones Overcome Szuper Effort in Arizona
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Colorado Eagles defeated the Arizona Sundogs, 4-1, in the first of three games in as many days at the Tim's Toyota Center. Colorado's third line accounted for two of their goals and Riley Nelson netted the other pair, powering the Eagles into a first place tie in the Turner Conference.
