Tuesday, May 4 BFPD responded to a power line down/arcing, nothing was found on arrival. Wednesday, May 5 BFPD was cancelled en route to a MVA on the interstate. Road Closure: northbound I-25 in Loveland

Larimer County - On Tuesday, June 1, weather permitting, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will close all lanes of northbound I-25 between State Highway (SH) 402 and US Highway 34 for utility work. The closure will be in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. In addition, there will be intermittent closures of southbound I-25 between US 34 and SH 402 during the same hours. Beginning June 7 the new FLEX bus service will link Berthoud with Fort Collins, Loveland and the Longmont Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) bus connections to downtown Denver and Boulder. During weekday peak commuting hours in the morning and evening, an express route will serve primary stops between Fort Collins and Longmont, including a stop in Berthoud. Obituary: Don L Ganter, Sr.

Don L. Ganter, Sr. July 28, 1923 – May 25, 2010 Don L. Ganter, Sr. of Berthoud, passed away May 25, 2010 at Longmont United Hospital.  He was 86. Don was born on July 28, 1923 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Lawrence and Alice (Verdow) Ganter. Don served in the US Army during WWII from 1942 to 1945 with the 728 Bombardment Squadron of the 482 Bombardment Group. On June 26, 1943 he married Jo Huber in Fort Collins, Colorado.  They moved to Colorado in 1969. Don worked in ... Full Story

By Judy LehnThe Board met for the express purpose of hearing reports from the Advisory Boards and Commissions. First to report was Mark French from the Berthoud Historical Society. He reported that in April, a part-time director (20 hours) was hired. Her name is Tara Secora and she started in January. She is conducting studies on school tours and on Floyd Clymer, who was a nationally-known auto salesman when he was only 11 years old. The museum will soon have a couple of his motorcycles. The ...
