Thompson School District is celebrating its 50th year as a reorganized school district with a free celebration scheduled for Jan. 14 from 6-8 p.m. in Roberta Price Auditorium at Thompson Valley High School. The University of Northern Colorado hosted its fall graduation ceremonies Friday, Dec. 10, and Saturday, Dec. 11, at Butler-Hancock Hall. Approximately 175 candidates received their master’s, doctoral and specialist degrees in the Graduate School ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday, December 10. The Berthoud High School singers and actors are in the final stages of dress rehearsal for the production of Cinderella. This particular version is the Rogers and Hammerstein play which was written for television and first appeared in 1957 featuring Julie Andrews as Cinderella. Two more television productions were done, the first in 1965 with Leslie Ann Warren as Cinderella and Ginger Rogers as the king.
