New Vision Charter School Information & Enrollment Meeting

The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, at 2366 E. First Street, Loveland.  The school is located one block south of Denver Avenue on First Street.  Open to all who are interested in learning more about our K-8 grade charter school.  We are now entering our fifth year of educating our community’s children.  593-6827 or www.NewVisionCharterSchool.org. Scott Elias, assistant principal at Loveland High School, has been named interim principal at Conrad Ball Middle School. He is filling in for Sheila Pottorff, who will be interim director of Secondary Education for the 2010-2011 school year. Elias came to Thompson School District and LHS in 2007. There was a chill in the air and the wind was blowing a bit, but the Berthoud High School graduation ceremony was blessed with a bright sunny day, matched the attitude of the graduates and their families. The graduates make their walk from the school building to the stadium. New this year was the addition of teachers in the procession. Students appreciate teachers too

May 3 to May 7 is Teacher Appreciation Week. The Thompson School District has several events that show teacher appreciation. Last week, the Thompson Education Association’s Crystal Apple Awards recognized some of the district’s outstanding teachers as nominated by their colleagues in the profession.
