Wyoming police looking for Scott Harmon

LARAMIE, Wyo. — Police in Laramie, Wyo., are looking for a man suspected of stealing from a Walmart in Laramie and stealing a vehicle in Colorado. Police say 22-year-old Rayburn Scott Harmon is believed to be driving a stolen black 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The Rawlins Daily Times reports Harmon is accused of failing to return the Escalade to a car dealership in Berthoud, Colo., after taking it for a test drive.   Date:                       April 21, 2011 On March 10, 2011, Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies and emergency medical teams responded to the 3700-block of Henderson Avenue in Wellington, Colorado, on the report that a two-year-old boy had hit his head and was not responsive.  Jamie Whittington, the boy's aunt and legal caregiver, was questioned by Larimer County Sheriff's Office investigators.  The boy was flown to Children's Hospital in Denver.  It was ... Fire Suspect Booked Date:                        04/21/2011       Thomas Howie, DOB: 01/03/75, of Fort Collins, turned himself in to the Larimer County Jail today after an arrest warrant was issued for him for Arson, a class four felony.  Mr. Howie was booked and released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond. Mr. Howie is alleged to have started the Crystal Fire which ultimately encompassed approximately 2940 acres and destroyed 13 homes.

This year's Berthoud Bash was a big success by any measure. The biggest measure of course is the fund raising for the Berthoud Schools which topped $100,000 this year. Congratulations to all the volunteers who make up the Berthoud Schools Fund. The funds will go to support technology in Berthoud schools. A "paddle auction" as the finale had set a goal to raise $20,000 to fund a variety of school activities that would be lost due to district lack of funding. The generosity of the crowd was ... What started as a drunk driver pursuit by the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) has ended up as a standoff on the northeast edge of Berthoud. According to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office the CSP was attempting to stop a motor home that had been called in as a Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately  (REDDI) report. Crystal Fire: April 4 (Update)

Update 5 p.m., Larimer County Sheriff's Office Firefighters put in good effort today building containment lines around the fire.  An updated containment percentage and total number of acres will not be available until tomorrow morning after crews finish updating information tonight. Crystal Fire Community Meeting Scheduled

April 3,  1:45 p.m. The Larimer County Sheriff's Office will host a community meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. at the Big Thompson Elementary School at 7702 West Highway 34 to update evacuated residents on the status of the fire and the evacuations.  We anticipate having some preliminary damage assessments to discuss at that meeting.  Representatives from the American Red Cross and United Way will also be on hand to provide information and assistance. Crystal Fire blows up to 2,000 acres

Shortly after midnight the Larimer County Emergency Information Center announced that the Crystal Fire has blown up with sustained 50 mph winds and evacuations had been ordered. At that time the fire was estimated at 800 to 1100 acres with no containment. Emergency phone notifications went out to approximately 40 residences in the Stringtown Gulch area of the Buckhorn Canyon.
