Larimer County Department of Natural Resources is excited to announce the formation of the Nature Notes Club for the County’s Open Spaces, a guided, nature-journaling experience.  Participants will be led through the process of creating their own nature journals in the style of John Muir or Aldo Leopold with Volunteer Naturalist Lisa. Scales Installation Project to Begin at Landfill

Larimer County, Colorado—Beginning January 1, 2011, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations require us to report the weight of trash being dumped at the Larimer County Landfill. Incoming vehicles will be required to weigh in as they enter and weigh out as they exit. This requires us to install scales, and will bring us into compliance with EPA regulations.
