Soapstone Prairie Natural Area is Closed

The City of Fort Collins Natural Areas Program closed Soapstone Prairie Natural Area today due to unsafe road and trail conditions caused by recent rains.  Updates will be posted at www.fcgov.com/naturalareas/status.php.  Rangers check conditions daily and will reopen the site as soon as possible.

The Colorado Water Conservation Board has issued a a flood watch advisory for Larimer and Boulder Counties. Recreating at your local parks and open spaces just got easier. The new Larimer County Department of Natural Resources Recreation Map is available. Larimer County Wood Collection Yards Opening Dates

  Larimer County, Colorado - The Larimer County Woody Biomass Collection/Sort Yards are set to open. Evacuation Area Open to Residents at 10:00 a.m.

Date:        April 6, 2011 Residents that left their homes last night as part of the precautionary evacuation will be allowed to return to their homes this morning at 10:00 a.m.  Deputies will reopen the roads to residents only beginning at 10:00 a.m.  The current roadblocks will continue to operate for the foreseeable future.
