Cliven Bundy Is a Pampered Millionaire, Not a Rugged

Cliven Bundy Is a Pampered Millionaire, Not a Rugged Rancher

Fox News 'Hero' Cliven Bundy Is a Pampered Millionaire, Not a Rugged Rancher Watching Fox rally to the defense of moneyed interests like mining and ranching is unbearable. The latest right-wing media poster-victim, Cliven Bundy, is just the latest in a long line of desert dwellers who thinks he or she should not have to follow the law and has a god-given right to unlimited use of public resources, in this case, rangeland.  I know the mentality well, because I grew up in rural Nevada ...   Cliven Bundy Epitomizes Nearly Everything That’s Wrong with Conservatives - By Allen Clifton Cliven Bundy is nothing more than a mentally unstable individual who doesn’t want to pay the fees he’s accumulated for the laws he’s repeatedly violated.  He’s also becoming quite the conservative icon.  Why is he becoming an icon?  Because he’s an anti-government whack job who’s gathered other anti-government whack jobs on his land in the truest form of the ridiculous ... (P.S. 23 kids accidentally shot last week) GunFAIL L  By David Waldman We have an extraordinarily long list this time around, and it took extra time to compile it and sort through it, which accounts for its late publication. Brand-new guns are given as gifts for Christmas (at least one of which went off and shot the gift giver this week), a little extra drinking is going on, the kids are ... Full Story

Unless you're one of the people who got shot, of course. Statistics-wise, this compilation records five cops as accidentally discharging their weapons, three neat freaks discharging guns they couldn't wait to clean, three generous patriots who shared Freedom Ingots with their neighbors ... Gun Fail XLVII

Gun Fail XLVII

'I can do anything I want on my property!' he screamed, and fired three more rounds. GunFAIL XLVIII   One of the lightest weeks in child shootings in recent memory. Congratulations, America! I found just three children accidentally shot this week, ages 3, 4, and 8. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any way of just shutting the flow off completely, but it's nice to finally see less than a half dozen or so. Also coming in on the low side were home invasion shootings, ... Full Story
