Local Boy Scouts Celebrate 100-Year Anniversary at Fall Camporee The Longs Peak Council, Boy Scouts of America, 100th Anniversary Event is scheduled for September 24-26. Traffic signal upgrade on Fourth Street in Berthoud
BERTHOUD— The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has begin a traffic signal upgrade project on State Highway 56 at Fourth Street in Berthoud. The project will replace the span wire traffic signal with poles and mast arms. “Span wire traffic signals use older equipment and technology, ” said CDOT Traffic Operations Engineer Larry Haas. “The new signal will require less maintenance and will operate more efficiently. ” In order to construct the new signal, the ... Senator Udall and Congresswoman Markey are hosting a forum for veterans on Monday, Sept 20. Two Larimer County locations to choose from. The Loveland location will be at Schmidt's Bakery, apparently because the local Loveland Associated Veterans would not allow Democrats in the building.

Reservoir Road Evacuees get to go home.
Amid cheers of the crowd, Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden told the evacuees that they could go home today. He had some cautions for residents. He asked that they limit driving during the hours of 6 to 9 a.m. and 7 to 10 p.m., peak hours for fire crews as they change shifts. “Do not call 911 if you see smoke,” he said.
