Greeley Author To Headline Local Event
Fort Collins - Greeley author Grace Napier will be the featured speaker at the General Meeting of Larimer Animal-People Partnership (LAPP) in April. The public is welcome to attend and hear Napier, blind since birth, talk about the 10 Seeing Eye dogs who have assisted her over the past seven decades. Odyssey of the Mind, it’s Elementary
Both elementary schools in Berthoud had teams performing in the Division I category in the Odyssey of the Mind Long’s Peak Tournament this weekend. Berthoud Elementary School The team from Berthoud Elementary, chose the Nature Trail’R, a NASA sponsored problem. The “Trail”R” refers to a trail and a trailer that are included in the problem. The Berthoud Bash is the creation of the Berthoud Schools Fund, which operates under the umbrella of theThompson Education Foundation. Colorado, CO, March 15 Average retail gasoline prices in Colorado moved just 2.0 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.63/g today. This compares with the national average that has increased 3.8 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.78/g, according to gasoline price website ColoradoGasPrices.com. Dorian Ryan opened the Citizens First meeting on Saturday announcing a bad news-good news message; she said that that only three candidates had filed for the three vacancies on the town board. The good news was that all were at the meeting. She introduced incumbent Dick Shepard who explained why he decided to seek another term on the board. Berthoud Economic Resource Team Meeting
The Berthoud Economic Resource Team (BERT) met at the Berthoud Town Hall on Monday evening. The First item of business was a report by Deputy Town Clerk Linda Higuera on the progress in developing the new web site for the town and economic development. The goal is to have a seamless joining of the two parts of the web site so that it will make the best presentation to the outside world.
