Little Learners Preschool open house
Little Learners Preschool, located in the lower level of Berthoud United Methodist Church at 820 9th St., Berthoud, will be having an open house on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for those interested in previewing the preschool. The staff of J. B. Clymer’s restaurant served its last meal at the corner of Fourth Street and Mountain Avenue on Valentine’s Day. In the wake of last month’s threat of imminent seizure of the building to satisfy unpaid state sales taxes, Sharon Dowling and Shari Nixon determined that it was time to move. Snap Fitness Center opening Monday
There is a new fitness center in town. It is located at the west end of what is commonly referred to as the Hays Market shopping center. This center joins two other Snap Fitness centers in the area, one in Firestone, and the other in Fort Collins. The new operation is owned by Milo Carley, who operates the Fort Collins club. Thompson School Board: cell phones and swimming pools
The Thompson Board of Education began the meeting listening to a presentation by the members of the Coyote Ridge Elementary School Lego robotics team. These elementary students lost one of there fellow students in 2008 when a driver talking on her cell phone struck and killed Erica Forney as she was riding her bicycle home from school. “Cow Dung Dust”
“Cow Dung Dust,” is Rick Padden’s latest play. Padden is the playwright for Berthoud’s newest theater venture, The Moon Theater Company, and will perform a staged reading of his new play at the Berthoud Foursquare Church this Evening. The play is about a group of hitchhikers who get a ride in the back of a cattle truck driving along Route 66. The reading is at 7 p.m., Friday, February 5. The admission charge is $5.
