Berthoud Town Board special meeting and study session
By Judy Lehn The Town Trustees held a brief special meeting Tuesday so the Trustees could vote on two liquor licenses. The rest of the meeting was a Study Session. Unanimous approval was given to the Berthoud Chamber of Commerce for their annual installation dinner, which will be held January 30 at Brookside Gardens. Berthoud Town Board, Jan. 12, 2010
The Town Board meeting of Tuesday, Jan. 12, was characterized mainly by its brevity, beginning promptly at 7 p. m. and ending at 7:30 p. m. Trustee Jeff Hindman commented on the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Berthoud Economic Resources Team (BERT) and said that the Web site should be up soon. The Web site is patterned after those of the cities of Westminster and Canon City. Library building might be donated to district
The Town library building may become the property of the library district in the coming year. During a discussion of ongoing maintenance problems with the building at the Nov. 3 meeting, the Board of Trustees considered donating it to the district the first of next year, along with a $30,000 contribution to repair the roof. Trustees to address budget on Oct. 21
The Town Board finance committee is scheduled to bring its review of the 2010 budget next Wednesday, Oct. 21. Interim Town Administrator Gary Suiter told trustees at the Oct. 13 meeting he has been meeting with department heads while developing a budget proposal for the coming year. (more...)
Ludlow Farms agreement reviewed
The Board of Trustees heard an update on negotiations for the Ludlow Farms annexation and development agreement at the Oct. 6 meeting. Town staff has been meeting with the developers to forge out details of the agreement, which include requests for vesting rights, reserving capacity in a wastewater line and revenue sharing.
