Sixty three schools were represented at the Colorado State Track Championships last week. Berthoud placed 40th over all with all the points being scored by the girls team. The girls team finished the meet in 23rd place. The girls relay team placed 8th in the 4x100 meter with a time of 50:28 seconds and tied for 9th in the 800 sprint medley with a time of 1:52.60. The Berthoud High School Spartans hosted an eleven team meet on Saturday, April 17. The Spartans garnered 196 team points to take second place to Holy Family who finished the meet with a score of 234.83. Complete results are available at VarVee Sports.
BOSSIER CITY, La. - The Colorado Eagles fell, 4-2, in Game 4 of the Northern Conference Semifinals to the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, losing the series four-games-to-none. It marked just the second time in their seven playoff seasons that Colorado had been swept in a playoff series. Ironically, the Eagles swept the Mudbugs last season in the same round.
