Local Softball Star to Play at Colorado State By Dan Karpiel Sports Writer Berthoud High softball standout Danielle Wikre will be taking her talents north to Fort Collins next fall. On Tuesday night Wikre, a three-time All-Conference and 2010 All-State selection for softball, signed her letter of intent to play softball at Colorado State University. Air Force upsets No. 3 Yale, 4-3, as Carew nets game-winner USAFA, Colo. –Air Force scored four unanswered goals in the third period for a 4-3 win over third-ranked Yale in a non-conference college hockey game Sunday, Nov. 14, in front of a sellout crowd at the Academy’s Cadet Ice Arena. By Dan Karpiel Sports Writer The Berthoud High football team finished the 2010 season with a 3-7 record and last place finish in the 3A Northern conference. The disappointing record did not stop the team from celebrating their achievements and honoring the graduating seniors on Wednesday evening. Two seniors were singled out for special recognition.
