Playing at Alex Tesone Field in Frederick, Berthoud turned in what was easily their best performance of the young season, with both sides of the ball contributing to the win. After rolling over Brush in the first two sets, 26-24 and 25-10, it took the ladies another three sets to finish off the Beat Diggers. Berthoud drops to 0-2 after 49-28 loss By Dan Karpiel Sports Writer Crisp and clear with a very slight breeze out of the north; it was one of those picture-perfect evenings for football on the high plains. Unfortunately for the Berthoud Spartans football team, the weather was the only pleasant thing about Friday evening.
