Defending the Broncos
Until last year, the “Broncos Way” was whatever the current head coach wanted it to be. And until the 2000s, that way was a winning way. But like most things, the game of football became more complex and so did the top league in which it was played. It started to become obvious that one man could not do it all and that only a collective group effort was going to be able to create a contender in the competitive and hostile environment of the NFL. Regardless of the titles that ... Full Story
The Trap of the NFL Combine
The NFL Combine, or better known to the media as the “Underwear Olympics,” has become must-see television. One of my radio partners, Peter Burns, loves this stuff. He spent hours in front of his TV watching guys run the 40, bench press and weave through the cone drill. Peter is single with no kids, clearly has more time than me and was hoping to gain some valuable information. But given the choice, I’d rather take my kids to see Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked ... Full Story

Nuggets on the Ropes
By Doug Ottewill I put a call into Robert Horry yesterday. Didn’t hear back. It’s cool, Bob. Catch ya next time. New phone? Probably didn’t recognize the number? No worries, my man. With San Antonio next up on the slate, I wanted to ask the former Spur one simple question: Why can’t the Denver Nuggets finish? Heading into last night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, I predicted that the depleted Nuggets would once again give it their all – just like they’ve ... Full Story
Silver Has It All Wrong
The Silver Standard A national writer once again trashes a local athlete By D-Mac Well, my good friend, Michael "The Machete" Silver, is at it again. For the third time this year, the highly esteemed national NFL writer from Yahoo! Sports has eviscerated Tim Tebow. This time, Silver set out to destroy Tebow in the pages of GQ. Somewhere between cologne and tight fitting pants, America needed a year in review about Tebow Now remember, this is the same national writer who ... Full Story
